Sounds like it could be a good game, but it doesn’t sound anything like Dragon Age to me. I’ll give it a chance because I love the series but this doesn’t excite me. Why should I be hyped for a new game in a series I love, when the new game sounds like a complete departure from what the series was before?

Basically BioWare is going to have to sell me on this game as a new action-RPG IP. Which, okay fine, that doesn’t sound inherently bad, but don’t sell it to me as a Dragon Age sequel if it’s not even the same genre.

This.

I don’t think I’m allowed to post sites here but you may want to see if you can buy a Atmos ‘key’ from a third party seller .

If you did look (hypothetically) it may be around $2-3.

I get the feeling that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is going be loved by the average gamer and hated by forum types and those who feel that Origins is all that . The “not my Dragon Age” talk is going to be really tiring.

Here a direct link to Dragon Age Dread Wolf combat gameplay.

It will still use Atmos. Think as playing a movie/game on 4K tv that doesn’t support 4K. Also, use Microsoft rewards to pay the license. It’s what I did.

I just hope they fixed the influence and impact you have on the story with your decisions. Didn’t like it at all in DA:I.

That’s fair because dragon age origins is one of the best games ever. The series been going downhill ever since

The beginning of banger after banger for 2023. Yes, it’s a 2022 but it left a door open to 2023, so banger after banger.

That would be funny since he was going on and on about wanting "everyone " to play their games and how MS should release all their games on PS5 and Switch .

Let’s calm down . I liked origins too but one of the best games ever? I don’t even think it’s in the top 10 best WRPG.

Never played the Dragon Age games, but I understand fans being disappointed at it being stripped of its identity to chase trends. Some people want games like Halo and especially Gears to do this as well. God forbid any AAA game does its own thing.

Yes, it was one of my favourite games ever  it’s def in my top 25

It’s not even in the top 30 of WRGs to me, but there are obviously a lot of folks who feel that it is and thus have been mad ever since because the game shifted away from what it was stylistically. It is what it is.

It funny how the first game of a series is seen by so many to the definitive version of what that series should always be like.

I loved DA: Origins. But things can be a bit more nuanced than what you imply. Of course you can evolve the game in sequels, but at some point it becomes a different game, genre even, completely and is it strange then that people who loved the first game is disappointed?

For example, I am not as down on DA: II as some might be. The idea is actually good, it was the repetitive environments and other rushed aspects that was bad. Inquisition was bloated to the point where it felt like playing a MMO alone on the server, and it somehow managed to be too linear anyways.

To now go down the action route and ditch even more of the things I like? Yeah, I’m disappointed. Sure, it might be a good action game, but I don’t want that for Dragon Age.

This exactly. Trust me this will not go well with Dragon age fans. Even myself who is a long time Dragon Age fan since Origins. This is a totall no no. I don’t want such a prestigious franchise to lose it soul so that you can appease thre dumb mainstream Sony crowd.

Majority of the RPGs are not for mainstream gamers. Third person action adventure games are.

I hate my team.

Edit: Morris twin is joining as well and we lost DoeDoe. I’m so sad.
