Yeh they absolutely do work. I hope Microsoft will see Hogwarts and go after the marketing for one of the Star Wars games in the works. That’s a ip that will draw in casuals.
I can’t think of many on that sort of level as Harry Potter or Star Wars. Maybe lord of the rings?.
Marketing works, but I think it’s only suited third-party games. First party at times seems to work itself out. Hogwarts is more carried by the name itself. Only thing PS has to do is say it’s coming to their console and boom, sale. Basically, it’s becoming less exposure, more detour. “Come to me, not Switch or Xbox.”
Also, it’s not always the winning formula. Still seeing Forspoken commercials and ads in NYC. Sure doing well, eh?
I don’t know the background behind that deal, but it is what it is. It’s pretty clear PS is suckering the nostalgia fans like FFVII, SH2, and KOTOR. Willing to bet they would love Dead Space and RE4 to be theirs but probably got turned down.
When you step outside and the fresh, cold air fills your lungs, the dampening of all sounds by the snow and after a while you get ice in the beard… that’s the best feeling.
Makes me want to grab an axe and go hunting some Danes.
Nah it’s all about getting 3rd degree burns on your arm when the metal bit of the seat belt hits your arm in the car, 3rd degree burns on your feet if you go outside for a second and 30c by 10am and 25c+ overnight lows.
Yeah, it’s so cold here (PEI) right now our heat pump just stopped working. Also our contractor made the brilliant decision of not putting any electric rads in the main living area.
Short answer is they can’t. You have no idea what he is going to do or say from one day to the next. From a purely entertaining and amusement perspective, I’m sure that the NBA wants a Westbrook-Kyrie trade. That will generate lots of revenue and press.
If I’m LA however I’m not touching that diva queen. They should focus their energy on to see if they can get a Toronto trade with GTJ, and Fred Vanfleet. That’s the best option for them.
