Watching Xbox Two + One. Rand just suggested MS should release Starfield the exact same day as FF16 as sort of an FU to Square and Sony .

Sony doesn’t want to set any precedents that any of their $70 games will be available on a service. I guess Microsoft just cuts a deal with MLB and they’re good to go. It’s still wild that they found a loophole in that way, but as a playstation gamer I would be upset at Sony.

What’s funny that would kill that game because Square also skipping out on PC would ust kill FF16 noise tbh. It will pretty much be PS5 owners vs PC and Xbox and that game will get drowned out on social media

Last week after Hi-Fi Rush’s breakout release, I said I would love if Microsoft had enough smaller smash hit games to be able to release them the same week of any and all SquareEnix money-hatted titles. Using Starfield to blunt FF16 would probably work too. Don’t let them have an easy time at all.

I would assume the same.
There have been rumblings for years that E3 was becoming too expensive, therefore why not host your own event instead? Especially when Microsoft has their own state of the art theatre!
It sounds as though they plan to have a showcase but no booth space. Given the likely prices I can’t say that I blame them.
