Pretty much, I like Matty, but I can’t stand the YouTube face thing. If anything, it makes me less likely to watch videos with them.

It’s cringey. I love how the main PC/tech channel I watch doesn’t do face’s in the thumbnails. Meanwhile the majority of the others do and it’s so cringe.

I saw the rumor mill on Xboxera podcast that said Ys VIII is coming to Game Pass. While the gang on the podcast was unfamiliar with it (that’s fine! Falcom games are sadly unknown and niche), to me that will be a monumental moment. Falcom games on Xbox is a dream come true, my -all time- favorite developer, on my preferred platform.
@Shpeshal_Nick was pronouncing it “Wise”, Major Nelson actually made the same mistake when Ys Origin came to Xbox lol. It’s actually pronounced “Ease”, and no I don’t know why it’s pronounced that way 
. JRPGs have funny titles, I know…
He was a bit baffled at how old the game is. There’s actually an Ys IX too, it came out in the West in 2021. While I’m assuming it wasn’t on your list/DM, I’d have to guess that it will follow Ys VIII. VIII is actually the better game so I certainly don’t mind it coming first. (There is also Ys X launching this year too, but only in Japan for now, so I assume it isn’t coming to Xbox for a while yet)
If this is all true, I also hope MS is trying to get Falcom’s Trails series onto Game Pass too. It’s my favorite game series period (anyone who browses my JRPG thread would know that I never shut up about it). There’s no shortage of them to add to GP and kind of like Yakuza it’s a long overarching storyline, having all these games in one subscription service just like Yakuza would be an amazing deal for JRPG fans (there’s some publisher issues between games though. Some are XSeed and some are NIS America. They’d probably have to just go the NIS America published ones).
Anyway, praying for this one to be true

While it seems like there’s been some downgrade, this is not really a good comparison to judge it by since it’s looking at pretty different things. I mean yeah, both are cliff edges but one is focused on all the close up details of the cliff and the other is focused on the wider open world.
