As an older parent in the iPad Roblox generation I loathe touch controls. My kid gets stuck on Roblox and looks to gamer dad for help, sure I help but the controls suck. People think the square 2 button NES controller is limited but in truth I’d rather game with an NES controller than a modern iPad lol I was gaming in the 80s playing Super Mario… Roblox is definitely a step backwards from when I was a kid.
I’m curious about it, but also well aware that it’s been a good while since the last good one. But after their very good Souls game I hope we get something really good.
My attention came from the fact it’s being done by FromSoft and I believe the head of creator is working on it, so there’s my honesty. Wasn’t the last one on 360?
I will say, it was a bit funny when Geoff was hyping the announce as if it was a legendary gaming series everyone knew about and then it was Armored Core.
For me I found Armored Core 4 and Armored Core For Answer at a pawn shop last year and grabbed them there. Played Armored Core 4 so far and finished it. Loved it and can’t wait to see what a bigger budget and more refined rendition of it looks like.
I guess it would be like that if Silent Hill was to return with a big name or studio attached to it. I mean Armored Core to me feels niche and not like Souls franchise today. Don’t even know the sale of it, so it could be me. Either way, I’m intrigued to see what can offer.
Road bump or two is not what anyone wants to read, but I have never heard of this person, but I’m also not on that site. Seems to me RE just let’s anyone throw shit around and not ask them to verify themselves. Bad news for Xbox appeared, why not throw some more around?
If Jez, Grubb, Henderson or Schreier says it…i put some stock into it.
Never played an Armored Core game before. Ideally, I would like them to bring over the other titles, but I doubt that’s gonna happen.

I feel like since Miyazaki is involved many people think it will be “Mech Souls” which won’t be the case. Looking forward to it though.
They did clarify that it won’t be the case.
road bump happens to almost all games in developments. same thing with changing scopes. but of course since it is Xbox-related, it is automatically bad news to everyone and their mothers.

ya people dont seem to do the same for sony. we know spiderman is comming and last of us multilayer but aside from that we dont officially know what games they have coming from first party. xbox we know we just havnt seen anything in a long time so of course thats bad, people also know the next games from sucker punch, santa monicaetc will be good because they have the track records to prove it. xbox doesnt. this gen is going to be there studios proving themselves to the public which is fine but its just a bad spot to be in PR wise. hopefully that bad stigma starts to go away with this developer direct but this 343 drama this week didnt help one bit. xbox clearly has a managment problem

To be fair Microsoft has way more going on than Sony TO leak, and generally Sony seems to keep a much tighter lid on leaks. I don’t doubt Sony has the same issues here and there but manages to keep it a smaller part of the conversation as a result.
That said people do seem to lose perspective on Microsoft when discussing issues. Yeah there’s some studios with some problems to work out but equally they’ve got some incredible first party studios (even beyond their acquisition spree) and have been consistently releasing high quality titles the last couple years - even being the best rated publisher on metacritic in 2021. It’s like with Obsidian, Avowed reportedly suffered some set backs and people are worried but equally the studio released two other games to high critical acclaim

I believe major difference is Sony earned the benefit of doubt and Microsoft hasn’t. Also , I think major issue with Microsoft is there are too many leakers who created FUD. we dont see this with PlayStation, Nintendo or other major publishers. I think once bangers release they’ll earn benefit of doubt when it comes to rumours

Imagine if there were leaks on Nintendo like how Pokemon was coming in hot. Sure would have gave us insight. Basically, just because you don’t hear a problem doesn’t mean there isn’t.

Agreed, I think it’s an issue I think Microsoft needs to sort imo. It’s nothing on their end because it’s all external, but there seems to be too many leakers for Xbox games, which causes a lot of FUD. I don’t want to console war this, but how come we don’t have leakers or others saying road blocks for TLOU factions when the game got delayed many times and concepts has changed? I remember Avowed got in a lot of trouble due to “insiders” saying concept has changed and game is not what they planned, and same thing seemed to be happening with Fable. I think Microsoft needs to investigate how information is getting out because I feel that has been causing a lot of issues for MS

First party wise, I have Redfall and Starfield for Xbox Series X while for PlayStation 5, I have Stellar Blade and Marvel’s Spider Man 2 for 2023. For me, it’s easily an excellent year first party wise. Anything else that I personally get will be a bonus for me.

Look at how hot Pokémon came in and I don’t think I saw a single bad leak about it’s difficult development or it being in trouble, A lot of the coverage around the bugs were in more of a silly funny tone not this game is broken do not buy it as well, or if there were some saying it was broken they still went on to say they’ll buy it anyway because it’s Pokémon lol.

I heard a ton of dont buy this game, its broken. Thats why I still havent bought it.
I’m playing it right now and just finished the main quest. It’s not broken at all, just runs like a potato. You will never have constant 30 FPS. Their are also few minor bugs like Pokemon glitching through walls.

lol so goofy that you think this. both platforms produces games that were critically acclaimed and sold well last gen. i really wish we could move on from this sort of thinking.
