I think it’ll be good enough gameplay for it’s short length and carried by fun writing. I’m looking forward to playing it but I’m not expecting TOO much out of it.
75-70
It looks so good and has a lot of potential. And previews made the comparison to Metroid Prime, SO and Doom Eternal. That sounds like a mighty fine combination to me, if it all turned out that way too…ah man I sure hope so.
He’s impartial when it comes to sale numbers and for the most part tends to avoid twitter console mudslinging, but tends to be quite biased in his opinion pieces.
That tweet is going to haunt him I think. It will be the first thing people will reply the next time Sony acquires something or moneyhats a game without him speaking out against it.
I think it will sit around 82 or something.
I predict 75
You can get a SX AND a Switch Lite here for the price of a PS5.
Ηe is talking about the cost of living crisis while defending the most absurdly expensive console/platform in Europe.
I’ll guess 80.
- Good graphics, with a few performance issues
- Amusing humour, that lands more than it misses
- Some gameplay is tiring, but for the most part it holds up well
- Replay-ability will be an issue
Fucking excited
Ill be taking off work when this one comes out
Some bits from the IGN article/interview:
"Like its predecessors, it will be a third-person action game with a heavy focus on customizing your mecha – from different weapons and leg types to generators that allow for greater boosts. It’s more focused on single-player than its predecessor, which was a bold attempt at large-scale multiplayer, but don’t expect a true open world like the one found in Elden Ring. Instead, Armored Core VI will retain the mission-based approach of its predecessors.
“The essential direction of [Armored Core VI] was to go back and take a good look at the core concept of Armored Core and what made that series special,” Miyazaki explains. “So we wanted to take the assembly aspect, assembling and customizing your own mech — your AC — and then being able to exact a high level of control over the assembled mech. So we wanted to take those two core concepts and reexamine those in our modern environment.”
“Boss battles are the highlight of the game in this title,” Yamamura said in a separate statement. “The essence of the battles, in which the player reads the enemy’s moves and then plays games with them, is of course provided, as is typical of FromSoftware. In this title, both the enemy and your own machine are aggressive and violent in their attacks. We are developing the game so that players can enjoy the dynamic and intense boss battles that only mechas can offer, along with the unique aspects of AC, such as how to assemble the right parts to take on the strongest enemies.”
So basically it sounds like the way I described AC on here already. Glad to see it is not taking Souls influence (I’m a fan of Souls but the gameplay does not even remotely fit Armored Core)
The focus on boss fights sounds awesome. In Souls, a boss fight is a slow and methodical dance. In Armored Core, the boss fights are like Gundam fights with the mechs chasing each other in the air, boosting to crazy speeds, both dodging each other’s projectiles, requiring you to manage your boost gauge… As you can tell it’s a very different beast from Souls, so again, very happy it’s not taking influence from there.
Sounds cool, never played an Armored Core game but this might be a first.
Anytime people drag out the “Gamers aren’t rich, you shouldn’t have to buy two consoles to play all the games you want to play” argument, the unspoken part is that they specifically shouldn’t have to buy an Xbox. I’ve never heard that logic applied to a PlayStation exclusive.
Yeah, that argument is bullshit, it’s basically just code for "PlayStation should have every game because of, uh Sony exceptionalism or something.
Damn
These dude has been showing his fanboyism a lot recently.
Although no court as of yet, for whatever reason, these moments sprung out the true color of a person. I’m beginning to realize that from the past experience.
