No because Xbox is actually successful and still exists.
it sometimes feels like people want Xbox to become the next windows phone or zune though, or just public consensus on Xbox is overall people viewing them as a joke. especially in europe and overseas.
Sony just did a better job of establishing themselves in those regions as I understand. Xbox division has a lot of work to do to insure Playstation is no longer the defacto platform.
I’d say Xbox has done a solid job in the United States. A lot of people buy consoles based on what systems their friends have and what experience they’ve gotten out of their gaming history. Right now, PlayStation has an upper hand due to the popularity of the PS4/PS5.
not sure how i feel about this. as long as itsn ot out to replace the regular controller I think its fine. adding a screen I just see reduced battery life
I suspect it will be E-ink like a Kindle. A normal LED/OLED would drain the power too quickly.
They just as easily lost their grip in the 7th gen only to finally get it back after that gen was over. It can just as easily happen again. One of the reasons they’re so terrified of the Activision/Blizzard deal going through.

All true but I see those who loved the original game buying it, those who never played it like me buying it and those who bought Callisto (which also includes me) but were somewhat disappointed with it buying Dead Space as well.
Also, survival horror games have had a resurgence since 2017 and I don’t see that stopping any time soon plus the game itself looks great and appears to play great which will get other people to give the game a chance. It might take 5 years but I do see Dead Space hitting the 10m mark but have such a strong start that I can easily see EA green light a remake for Dead Space 2.
We’ll see what happens though. I have been hyped for Dead Space since that 60 minute gameplay video leaked a few months ago and after playing Callisto, im even more hyped than I was before Callisto. lol
On Twitter, some Japanese people I’ve talked to have said they did not know that Xbox is successful in the West, because they’ve rarely ever seen or heard about Xbox domestically.
When Xbox barely tries/is barely present in people’s regions, it gives people in these areas the impression that the console is a joke altogether.
