Not a good look for Marty Stratton/iD with the evidence Mick Gordon has provided
Wonder if he will get the boot

Tldr?
Crunch from musical creation and scores for Doom Eternal project because of impossible deadlines and uneasonable tasks going off the first search result.
Edit: link talking about this, Marty’s reddit post in 2019 and Mick responding 3 years later on Medium: Doom Eternal Composer Fires Back After Being Blamed for OST Issues
Damn it seems it got ugly there. Hope Mick gets compensated and lands other amazing jobs (Routine sounds sick).
And hopefully ID/Marty get held accountable for their bs. Crunch is awful, but on top of that the lies and selling his work not fully credited is straight up garbage from them.
If I am not wrong hes also doing the one for Atomic Heart.
Yep, true.
Probably not. Situation is fixable by publicly apologizing and properly compensating Gordon, don’t think Bethesda/MS is keen on firing the game director behind Doom 2016 and Eternal.
Damn good deal then!
Stratton co-directed DOOM 2016 with Hugo Martin but he was the executive producer (and studio director since Willits left in 2020) of DOOM Eternal. But yeah let’s wait and see what will come out from all of this.
You’re correct. I’m mixing people up again.
What ?? Warzone and DMZ ?
That’s A LOT of content for the first season ! Wow !!
Edit : I didn’t see the Paul Pogba, Neymar and Messi skins !
I wonder what Raid will be like.
So far I’m having tons of fun with the game. It definitely helps that I haven’t bought CoD in years, I’m sure.
damn, so sony not even gonna have a showcase this year, it seems. that’s ruff.
Helps having a 1000 studios working on the game haha
Probably a combination of games not being ready and quite frankly them not needing one
They’ve had a bunch of those State of Plays and GoW and general hype will get them through until next year
I hope the game turns out nice, but after the recent tweets I am very wary. Hope all is well.
Solid points, meaning Xbox doesn’t need a showcase next year.
Personal ramblings incoming…
So, I’ve been off work for the last couple of days and instead of being productive and getting things done around the house, I instead opted to delve back into the insidious rabbit hole that is Elder Scrolls modding. I started with Morrowind, then moved onto Oblivion before ultimate ending up with Skyrim. I’ve never attempted to mod the “SE/AE” version of the game, so I decided to try that and I’ve been pleasantly surprised.
I got my ENB (Shaders, etc) profile just right last night and was kind of blown away by how good that game can look with the right mods and some tlc. I wanted to try some really heavy duty enb profiles, but my poor old 1080 sounded like it was about to take off and quite possibly explode. And that got me thinking about my plan to upgrade when Starfield comes out, so I started looking at prices of the “30” series cards from Nvidia and decided I would just wait for the “40” series since prices are still a bit high for my tastes.
And then… I inexplicably started looking at VR headsets again. I purchased the HTC Vive when it first came out, and while I enjoyed my experience with it, it made me wary of spending that much money on the tech again. I was initially interested in the Quest Pro until I found out you had to sign in with Facebook and it kind of killed my enthusiasm for the VR space.
But, today I pulled the trigger on the Quest 2. I know the Quest 3 is coming next year, but I really wanted to get into all the games and experiences I’ve been conveniently ignoring over the last 4-5 years and my impulses got the better of me. The fact that I can be completely wireless or tether to my pc for some more robust games kind of sealed the deal for me. Personal data be damned!
If any of you have experience with the Quest 2 and wish to share some tips and “do’s and dont’s”, please feel free to do so. I’m oddly excited, minus the whole Meta harvesting my soul.
