The Parental controls app for Xbox is excellent, it just needs the content, and I can see why they’re tying in with Outright Games - the games that they have thrown on Gamepass in the past 12 months are excepetional for the younger kids.
And Amazon did?
Well, Amazon decided to do that. Maybe Google was stingy but I believe that it was because Google did not want to use Microsoft’s product.
Didn’t know quitting a game was too much for some people
Update. You cannot buy games anymore.

So this Hot Wheels game never even had the chance to be purchased, lol.
Now there are devs wondering what will happen to the Stadia deals they agreed to. Because Google still owes them money.

They even had a tweet showing all the games coming in October:
It is an annoyance and the games (even online ones) should handle it better. I shouldn’t have to re launch Halo, it should reconnect lol
Yes a lot of the misbehavior comes from online games and how/when they initiate server connection. If a game misbehaves with QR I just simply quit it though, it’s literally two button presses away lol
Games don’t take 3 to 4 minutes to load up though, this inconvenience isn’t an actual problem.
It should be fixed. Can’t believe anyone would argue otherwise. I’m not out making a big deal about it, but come on now.
Sure, but the way people talk on online about it is like they’re trying to make it seem like quick resume is still a gimmick.
Yeah, it’s an annoyance at worst.
I assume it’s done in a generic way (for compatibility) as opposed to allow developers to put custom code in suspend/resume type events like a mobile app would. If it was implemented like a mobile app it would be trivial for kill connections on suspension and reconnect on resume.
Infinite sort of handles it, it will re-establish connection and I was able to play games when I tried it a couple weeks back, but it did not refresh the Challenges for the day, so I had to quit and relaunch it anyways. Its like come on just reestablish everything! Or atleast put a top-level menu option for folks to force it if they haven’t quite worked out how to automatically determine when its needed.
Phil Harrison with only the best of decisions made…
I should try it again and see if it’s gotten better.
I have forgotten about that Quick Resume as I always manually quit the game
The article is worded like it would be a sequel to DS which is impossible and later say DS was recently brought to xbox when they mean PC gamepass, terrible article
That being said, if true, im starting to feel Phil is a master troll secretly working to destroy every company he’s in
How can one man make so many bad decisions lmao
On Gears 5, it shows prior days challenges and first 30 seconds wont detect it has network server connection. Then around 1 minute in it will reestablish network server connection, with maybe 30 seconds to a minute later it will then update the challenges.
The Halo Infinite challenges showed as having Negative Time on the countdown clock after it QucikResumed after a day and the numbers just kept going more negative. I waited a few more minutes but they never refreshed. Pretty sure they didnt refresh after a quick bot match either, as I do remember having to Sith the game (Force Kill).
Not really true. Oh, I see thats a new tweet to a story from Feb 2021 when Google killed Stadia First Parties.
When Stadia closed their internal development studio, the former devs of Journey to the Savage Planet reacquired the rights to the IP. Google hasnt had ownership of Savage Planet IP for a while now.
Former members of Typhoon Studios established a new studio Raccoon Logic in August 2021, with some funding support from Tencent. Through negotiation, they were also able to retain the intellectual property rights to Journey and the planned sequel that Typhoon had been working on at Google.
