Thank god they didnāt go with that planā¦but those early plans would explain their shady DLC/season pass roll out for RE7 (which started a week after the gameās release) and how light in content the vanilla product was for a Resident Evil game.
They could always make a new Outbreak game if they want to give the GAAS model a try, it could work well for something like this.

Thereās also that Re:Verse thing thatās been delayed for over a year. I donāt think itāll do that well though, itās been mostly forgotten about. Itās not a GAAS but at this point everyoneās waiting for RE4 Remake.

Itās so frustrating that they have the perfect GaaS game right there with Outbreak 1/2/Sequels but they keep pumping out garbage like RE:Verse instead
Outbreak released a gen too early, now they could add new maps and monetise it with endless skins and new characters with different abilities but they refuse to do anything with it

Wellā¦ I thought the original was a great first start for what could have been a great Soulslike; regardless it led Deck13 to make the arguably fantastic Surge games.
Soā¦ I would have been in the market, but having only read the PR so far, the fact that itās not being made by Deck13 and it seems dramatically different than the originalā¦ Iām not sure anymore.
Is it just replaceable joysticks? I wonder how much we all think this is going to beā¦
