XboxEra Community Hangout |OT8| Waiting for E3 2023

I think the Xbox challenge is going to be ID@Xbox and their strange acceptance and denial policies. Otherwise Xbox needs to come up with a new program to help devs publish their own games when ID@Xbox refuses to do so

And we’ve yet to see even a single screenshot, video or even artwork. Very weird.

Gamescom, here we come.

Especially odd when they had a full Embracer event not all that long ago. Maybe it’s planned as episodic rather than a full single release?

Hope so!

Oh, wow. I completely forgot that Embracer has Gearbox.

But even if episodic, the lack of any marketing is odd. It was so randomly announced earlier this year too. I had not even seen the announcement until several months later and I don’t easily miss game news.

I would not have been surprised if the sentence was ā€œGotham Knights has been delayedā€. I’m glad to see it’s gone gold.

2022 is actually turning out great for me, shockingly. I loved these games so if it’s anything like the previous ones I’m gonna be happy.

Tales from the Borderlands is fantastic. The humor was so damn good, all the characters were likeable, great story and it even managed to hook in a non Borderlands fan, which is one of my buddies. But Gearbox is making it, no Telltale involvement, so I hope the humor will be on point. I loved the humor of Borderlands 1, 2 and Pre-sequel but 3 nowhere near as much.

2022 worth for me due to ABK deal alone. The amount of salt and entertainment it generated is enough for me.

Random drop…

But this map screen had no right having such epic music, loved it then, still love it.

Bloody hell, wonder if we’ll get an update on that article about Wall Street betting against the deal because the share price wasn’t $95

Rocksteady was really ahead of its time, jesus. Just such a shame the game came out on the inferior Xbox One and not One X, thus lower resolution, grainy graphics etc.

And gameplay wise the overuse of Batmobile didn’t help either.

Wow Microsoft about to write a check to Warren Buffet for 5 billion dollars.

I think he’d be a bit pissed to get a check for 5 billion, he’s doing this cause he expects at least a billion extra on top of what he’s bought the shares for

Well, this for damn sure is where we’ll hear more about New Tales from the Borderlands.

Just bought an Xbox Adaptive Controller and 2 Logitech sticks. Looking to recreate this setup I saw on YouTube Testing Out Microsoft's Adaptive Controller - YouTube

Spider Man for me all the way. Arkham Knight is the weakest of the Rocksteady trilogy. Using the Batmobile to lift up walls and then use the wall as a ramp or this or that was cool but the bat tank segments were horrible. Wasn’t a fan of the story and that Scarecrow despite being the main antagonist felt like an afterthought. Having it rain and city being empty for the second game in a row didn’t help. Visually, Arkham Knight looked great. No argument there. Combat wise, prefer Spider Man. Much more smooth, fluid and responsive. And hated the camera in the Arkham games. Camera is so close to Batman, only crouching, flying or driving pulls the camera back.

Very happy that the camera in Gotham Knights is pulled back and the story seems much more interesting.

I have two reviews hitting tomorrow, one at 8am EDT and one at 12pm EDT, really liked both games!
