Is a big name sure, but like I said there’s others big Japanese rpgs out there that Microsoft can pursue, it’s not a big deal if FF games don’t come to the Xbox platform.
There are essentially only two big JPRGs out there - FF and Persona. And FF is TES, while Persona is Dragon Age (good one, not current Bioware). Others can be called niche.
IMO, considering how desperate Xbox community for JRPGs and how always they ask for more JRPGs across all the polls, I think Phil Spencer will provide people with a solution.
FF and Persona are not the only ones, they are the more mainstream right now and lol at “how desperate Xbox community for JRPGs” you can’t say this just because of a small group that don’t represent everybody. Again, if any Xbox fans want to play square-enix games they’ll have the choice to buy a PS5 or a capable PC.
Off course Phil Spencer are going to do his best to bring more Japanese content to the Xbox platform, there’s no question about that.

Most of the polls online has JPRGs as the highest priority. Of course general consumer market cares only about COD and FIFA and for them it does not matter, but we went through that stage with Xbox One where they pivoted only to what general market cares. Anyway, now it will be different and I am sure there will be a solution that will satisfy Xbox gamers.

Those polls don’t represent the whole community, that’s the point. Even on PS those titles sell between 10 to 15 millions from over 100 millions of PS out there. Am sure that Phil Spencer and crew are working hard trying to bring more Japanese content to the Xbox platform in the future.

There are a lot of titles that do not reach 10m or 15m on a single platform either. Even on Nintendo there are a lot of titles that don’t reach 15m. Reaching 10m on a single platform is a lot.
Halo 3 on Xbox 360 had around 15m right? Does thta mean that FPS do not sell on Xbox? I think Doom Eternal is lower than 10m on all the platforms right?
That I agree of course, I just don’t like that dismissal. A lot of titles do not reach 10m across PC/Xbox/PS and it does not mean that everything should be COD or FIFA or only because a small group of people play those games.
For example a lot of Bethesda games did not sell much, does that mean that Xbox should scrap whatever Arkane is doing? Of course not. Sales is one thing, IP engagement is another one.

Well then you can say that many Jrpgs are for small or niche group.
Meanwhile, with have one Wrpg (Skyrim) that have sold 20 millions copies and sure have been ported to run even toasters. 
20m across how many platforms? If Halo 3 sold 15m (on 360 only I presume) and Skyrim at 20-30m (I believe it is more at this point) over PC/PS/Xbox , does it make Skyrim big or small?
5m on a single platform - while not GTA level - is a decent chunk. Scarlet Nexus for example is at 1m sales and 2m engagement. Games like FF are brands that drive engagement across other IPs associated with FF too (like FF14).
By the same logic Doom is also niche as it did not reach 15m for Eternal no? FF15 was at 10m BTW.
FF is for JRPG is what TES is for WRPG. Granted WRPG are bigger in general.
That’ fine, but the point is Xbox doesn’t need FF games to survive, they will be fine and others Japanese games will come to platform in the future, like I’ve said it’s not a big deal. IMO

I don’t say that Xbox will die without FF. Just like PS won’t die without TES.
Exactly and if anyone want to play those games they have options to do it, that’s the point.
That’s true, but it does not mean that I don’t want Xbox to get FF and that I should just tell Xbox to not bother with it

As for FF7R. I’m going into the Xbox show just not expecting it at all. It is whatever at this point really.

sorry if my post make it see it that way, was not my intention. I’m not saying you shouldn’t, you and others have the right to do it, but sometimes is tiresome to read the same complain over and over again, that’s all.

There was Nvidia leak of FF9. I doubt it will be announced on FF7R stream though.
