No way in hell is remake sony exclusive. Capcom arent dumb like SE.
Wasn’t this next-gen exclusive and suddenly it’s even on Switch lol
Tought the same lol
Any sessions stick out for you? The prior years I had everything mapped out weeks in advance, but not this time around. Maybe I’ll just keep it on the main Channel 9 coverage and see what pops up. Do they still call it Channel 9?
I’m usually the same but this year’s work load has turned my brain into mush…
Honestly, I have no idea. I have seen the trailers but otherwise, haven’t kept up with it.
I watch most keynotes and the dotnet and azure stuff. Since Microsoft had their own Game Stack Live conference Build got lighter on pure gaming stuff. I only saw this here about Game Pass:
Channel 9 is now part of Microsoft Learn.
Thanks. I’m definitely interested. If it wasn’t for my backlog it’d be a Day One for me, depending on reviews of course. The game’s concept is 100% up my alley.
This most likely changed when nancon bought them.
They tend to release there stuff on everything. And without cross buy support
Just finished All of us are Dead
Definitely a very enjoyable K-Drama set in a zombie apocalypse. But it isn’t without its issues like plot holes but also just baffling decisions made, or not made by the characters. Still very nice.
I forgot about that lol.
I’m not sure how this stuff works but if Sony is paying for Xbox versions to not be made then I don’t think MS paying for marketing will work if there is no Xbox version?
Nonetheless Capcom is not Square Enix and they have shown 0 sign of just dropping Xbox like a rock like this. Capcom is gonna stay multiplat, except for maybe more Switch tailored, stuff like MH Rise
I would be somewhat shocked if Capcom were to again relegate their biggest fighting game IP to one platform, that isn’t even widely available due to shortage, when they don’t even need to.
There are no financial woes or excuses for Sony to “help” with development. Couple this with SFV being the weakest sales wise compared to the last mainline entry and the fact that when you are releasing in the fighting game genre, you want as big of an audience as you can get. Plus their main competition MK will release on everything!
I would also be surprised if Capcom decided to make Dragon’s Dogma exclusive, after the success of Monster Hunter world and RE8, not to mention after the way Elden Ring blew up on consoles and PC.
We’ll see i guess
That’s what I usually watch as well. The one year I had to watch all the CRM/Power material for a possible work project upgrade. I didn’t find it interesting beyond maybe 15 minutes combined here and there.
I noticed that too, where nearly all of the hobby gaming focus is now on Game Stack Live instead.
I agree. As always, you never know what happens, but it is simply unexpected from Capcom now. If they do it, it will be a shocker to me.
This is cool
If Sony doesn’t have an already existing marketing or exclusivity deal with Capcom for their games, then what im saying is that Microsoft should go get those marketing deals because it guarantees the games release on Xbox day one. For
I agree that Capcom isn’t Square Enix. Capcom is actually great.
Nothing surprises me in this industry. If Capcom gets a big enough payday, I can see SF 6 being a PS5 exclusive. They didn’t announce platforms back during the reveal which tells me there could be an exclusivity deal in progress.
If Microsoft wants to guarantee that the games release on Xbox day one, they should at the very least get the marketing deal for those games and put in clauses that prevent these games from going on PS+ for at least a year even though I would do two years.
I get what you’re saying. In the 360 they did some stuff to no let some games be exclusive to PS3 (DMC, FF, even GTA IV apparently) I don’t think it was necessarily marketing or exclusivity deals but they realize that they should work towards that game coming to Xbox. It could be like straight up upfront cash or support with development or promotion etc
Exactly. Microsoft doesn’t have to do full/timed exclusivity. All they have to do is a marketing deal and whatnot to just ensure the game gets released on Xbox day one.
