Like at the beginning of spring, he said that a letter of intent was signed or something like that. I mean, he said again what he said last year.
If I remember correctly, it was around 1/2 months ago and said that āthe negotiations were still ongoing as far as 2 weeks agoā.
VGC also said that Kojima is not working on Silent Hill .
Well, that was more the creator being a moron and chasing clout to get traction and fundings for the āprojectā.
But didnāt Gamatsu (or another japanese publication) said that he was allegedly working on one?
Personally, I believe Kojima working with Microsoft is dead. My belief is that Kojima went to Google then Microsoft to simply increase his value/price and Sony gave in. Iām not expecting an Xbox/Kojima game at all. He had a letter of intent a year ago and nothing? No contract signed. This is a move you donāt need to save for a show. The game reveal can be saved for a show but official announcement of āwe at Microsoft/Xbox are working with Kojima an on unannounced projectā on Twitter would suffice.
Itās always funny that PS rumor has to be surfaced on ātop tierā devs working on ātop tierā franchise. Itās never like other names. Itās either Kojima, FromSoft, Silent Hill, Soul-like game from FromSoft, and whatever that is like āgodlikeā to them.
True but Id rather believe the people that revealed details of 3 Silent Hill games than Gamatsu .
Sonyās rumors are usually wrong.
Ummmm I wouldnāt be so certain, itās been a while since I have used it but PSNow already lets you stream games to PC, albeit IMO through a terrible app, horrible remote control support and at 720p 30fps.
I wouldnāt be surprised if they rejuvenate the PC app and then also create a smartphone and TV app too? If hardware limited they could potentially do a deal with Nvidia or Amazon to stream the PC version of the game (we know they are going to PC too).
Ideally I would still want the native experience which is why I said I will wait a few more years for the PS5, at the moment there simply isnāt enough exclusives for me to justify it when I have the Series X already. However if they updated their cloud streaming I would dip in for a month or two here and there.
Itās a steep jump from $10 US monthly to $18 US for PC gamers to dabble with PS streaming. Thereās no longer a separate tier so one canāt select only Streaming like you could before.
At some point weāre gonna get something like this often with all the studios and GaaS they would want to have.
Very true but at the same time if like me your only interested in a handful of PS exclusives e.g. God of War and Miles Morales, I could probably complete both within a few days.
Paying $18 for one month would be much cheaper than paying $70 each (or the $40-50 they will likely be that far after they released).
Although now thinking about it perhaps PS would be reluctant as letās face it most of their exclusives can be completed in under 15 hours***, so they may just end up enticing consumers like me who would dip in and out . Most of the Xbox exclusives going forward will be RPG based so will likely be 50+ hour games.
***This isnāt a diss towards PS games they are brilliant but typically quite short.
I know Iāve been slacking, but I just finished up the video for a review of Floppy Knights which hits Game Pass on Monday. So keep an eye out for that one closer to launch from me. Weāll have a Sniper Elite 5 combo vid from Harm0nica and Sik next week and maybe more. Fun times, though releases really are slowing down lately.
People, studios can work on mutliple projects at once
Not to mention, from the very beginning, Grubb has said thereās nothing stopping Kojima from continuing to work with Sony and it was always likely Kojima was going to be making another for Sony whether it was DS2 or something else and Grubb said thats nothing changed with the deal just a few weeks ago
Maybe the xbox thing will happen, maybe it wont but it has nothing to do with Kojima potentially making another game for Sony, very strange reponses in this thread
Well its very hard for some to imagine Kojima working with anyone but Sony. Despite him making games before Playstation existed and the Metal Gear franchise making its debut on a Microsoft gaming platform. (MSX)
Maybe some new infos here ?
