I know itās complex. Itās extremely multifactorial. But exclusives arenāt the wildly console sellers some people think they are. They contribute, but they arenāt anywhere near the main factors.

I would say itās just time to give it up though. While I would love for Phil to have used CoD as leverage to get FF back, I donāt think itās that big of a deal for them unfortunately.
The only way to get it on Xbox is if they acquire Square Enix, lmao.
I still find it interesting that Xbox Youtube channel still hasnāt uploaded any Soul Hackers 2 video. Saw recently this PS commercial
And they promoted Soul Hackers 2 there. I wonder if there is some deal with Sony there.

Obviously not only CoD, but many more other games that Sony would lock up, but it probably doesnāt work like that.

Personally I hate to miss out on any major console video game. I also find it difficult to wait for a game. People like me are becoming a minority though. I just have a love of video games that most modern gamers and games media lack. Itās pretty common for me to hear modern gamers talk and think to myself āI donāt even think this person likes video gamesā.
What Iām trying to say is to a certain minority; we will buy a PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch strictly for the exclusives, even if that means only 1-2 games a year for that system.
(Xbox is my main console so all other games get purchased there because I trust Xboxās ecosystem and think Sony and Nintendo are untrustworthy when it comes to keeping access to a video game library).

Xbox changed the game for me. I love some of the PlayStation studios games a lot but Iām not getting a PS5 just for them, until they adopt similar models to Xbox with Game Pass and hopefully PS5 Digital becomes actually available with a price cut 2-3 years from now.
Thereās no Sony deal, Xbox showed it on This Week on Xbox. The issue is Atlus hasnāt started the Western marketing yet (gameās not that far away, they need to start soon). Even when they upload new trailers they only get uploaded to the Atlus JP channel and you have to enable YouTube subtitles for the subs. Even the Atlus West channel doesnāt upload videos for this game.
If Xbox did marketing like this in Japan theyād have this in there too.
