Nope, that’s literally a MADE UP matter. Did y’all see Fable gameplay before us or something?!

Well, it was a rumoro but I can easily see it being a shared world.

Sea of Thieves technically too…

All in all, these debates are useless as we don’t know much but the games designed with co-op in mind, are never good playing alone. It is like MMORPG - you can play them alone of course. But at certain point - you will have a co-op.

It was rumored that Microsoft is walking around looking for co-op games for Game Pass service. So the third party games will have some co-op or multiplayer, or designed around that one way or another.

No way anyone actually believes this. SoT can’t be any fun in solo and it’s not designed for that in the first place.

I didn’t Say it’s negative for Gamepass. But perceptions and marketing are importants too for the subscription campaigns: the only big SP title for Xbox (Starfield) has been delayed. I don’t think that Contraband or Forza8 Will increase the number of gamepass users. Maybe Avowed, Wolfenstein 3 or Hellblade2. for the 2022 PS iteself seems in a Better position. This Is the situation for now.

We don’t know that. Contraband might attract people. Co-op games bring a lot of people quite often, while might not be interesting for single playing people.

That’s true, though with shortages it does not help Sony much - because no matter how many good articles you can publish, if there is no consoles available - nothing can be done.

Somewhat hilarious to argue about single player when multiplayer or hell, live service, dominates the market. Not saying everyone should ignore single player, but don’t make it seem like without it, the platform is doomed.

I don’t know what world you live in but the biggest games in the entire world are multiplayer games

I have been saying for ages that games are pivoting towards online elements, co-op, F2P etc. Just like MTX. It is just the way it is. But it does not mean I cannot cling to the past :joy:

This Is also true but the value for a service strategy as the Gamepass is the final people’s perception. The E3 2021 has been about that impression: Halo, AOE4, forza5, Stalker2, Starfield, Redfall, Plague tale 2. Big triple AAA SP are very good marketing Strategy for every Publishers.

You sound salty that MS is doing well, such a strange post.

Not necessary. The ability to play with your friend in the service + Family Pass will bring a lot of attention to Game Pass. More than probably single player games.

Family Pass is basically designed for co-op games.

Nintendo is fine without them.

We’ll see until the end of this year how many subcriptions Gamepass will have. Probably i wrong but we’ll see.

You mean the rumor that appeared right after their show in 2020? Someone claimed it was a MMO or MMO-lite or some stuff?

This is another competition. Nintendo has its fanbase

No one will really deny this or not see that MS is also making a bunch of those games.

This Is what i’m Saying. For now (but we don’t what Showcase will have for us), for this year, XBOX Is not giving this impression. That’s all.

Sorry brother but I don’t know what you’re even talking about anymore. You lost me.

I am salty because Microsoft has no luck with third party deals, does not pursue them thus trying to rely on their first party all the time. Microsoft is doing great, but I hardly contribute this success to software.

With Family Pass I expect a lot of new people, but without it? I don’t expect much growth. I think we should know in June because last year it was reported that due to smaller growth, Satya did not get bonuses (as they are tied to Game Pass growth).

That’s true and that is what I think Microsoft is trying to achieve - cut all the dependencies from the third parties and rely on the first party. A lot of games will naturally come to Xbox too (like sport games) but maybe without promotions. If the platform grows enough, the third parties will come naturally - like with Switch, where I am pretty sure a lot of publishers want to publish the games there, but Switch is too weak.
