Sorry to hear so many people are having a lot of problems gaming, I have been lucky enough to only had ESO not work, and it hasn’t been all the time. I hope this will though push Microsoft to pay for priority as often as possible when it comes to Series X chips for both Azure-xcloud and consoles.

I heard somewhere that avowed is unreal engine 5 now. Is that true? if so I can see it comming out later now as ue5 just came out

ya that sucks. Im sorry about that. I think if you have digital games you should be able to play them on your home xbox at least even without an internet connection

It supposedly is based on resumes. Though they would have access to UE5 long before its public release.

The stupid thing about this is that MS can still have their way without it affecting people’s experience like this. They already have a system, it’s just a buggy and inconsistent system and one that also requires multiple steps to setup. MS lose nothing if they make the system easy and clear to setup and also work perfectly all the time.

But porting from UE4 to UE5 isn’t supposed to be a big effort really

Allegedly :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I’m sure it’s not the straightforward porting process that Epic implies it is but also I doubt it’s really much effort. I’m seeing those UE developers on YouTube also say that it’s mostly unchanged from UE4 and you don’t even need to relearn stuff, just the new features they’ve added obviously.

The thing I wanna is if they migrate a game from UE4 to UE5 and it’s all working fine, can they implement the new features easily (Nanite and lumen) or do they have to rebuild their assets and restructure their game to support them? Because that I imagine would take extra time and effort

Uhmmmm…have you ever made a mistake while playing because you werent paying attention to something?

Because I just overwrite Kasane’s save file with the one of Yuito in Scarlet Nexus NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

oh well, guess just gonna end the Yuito’s route and see the rest on youtube (I was in her stage 10 :C). Is bugsnax good? I’m also tempting of continuing my Fallout 76 playthrough…decisions, decisions…

Why would that delay the game? Fortnite is UE5 and already out.

what? they already ported it over?

Hmmm, so that impressive first trailer was TGA? Ah well, even if Sony has marketing, its whatever. As long as its not timed exclusive, lol.

yeah, Epic ported it last year and its live since i think December

But do you use game sharing or not at all? That often makes a big difference.

During the day yesterday I was able to play Lego Jurassic World fine.

So i played Rogue Legacy 2 yesterday and it was fine. I did have an issue where it didn’t synce to cloud and it let me play offline but then it fixed itself. I dont gameshare and the series x i was on was not the home console. my kid or wife didn’t play the past 2 days so it would be interesting to see if they had issues. My nephew also had no issues and he only has a series x and he does gameshare with his friend. I didn’t play anything off gamepass just rogue legacy 2 all week

Is Xbox Live still down?

Why does clicking on what’s supposed to be the last reply in a thread doesn’t actually take me to the last reply but brings me back to the beginning of the threads?

They should tread carefully regarding outages as it might decimate their cloud initiatives. Imagine having streaming stick but having an outage for two days. It would be unacceptable. And there won’t people defending Xbox there - in comparison to Sony.

I can understand why they have DRM - because if you own Game Pass for example, download the game and then disabled Internet and subscription - you can play games without pay (though a lot of games these days are online by default).

If Sony did not have their own issues with online they could have recorded another neat video regarding how to play games on PS5 :joy: Granted their own online infrastructure is a mess - but well they are not a cloud provider either :man_shrugging:
