Also think it needs to be a puck for the added Bluetooth required for controllers

As a Brit I can assure you that we do not call them pucks :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: - I was thinking it’s an American/Canadian thing (with Ice Hockey etc).

I’ve been neglecting my Xbox this past week, to my surprise because of how much I’ve enjoyed playing 13 Sentinels on Switch. I’m not a huge VN fan and not really into the portrayal of the underage characters in the game, but goodness is this game something else. Beautiful style, great voice acting, and one of the coolest sci-fi stories I’ve experienced in video games in a long time.

I know it’s not likely it’ll end up on Xbox, but if you have access to it definitely think about giving it a go. I can’t stop thinking about it and am excited to finish it today.

I am STILL playing this game. And now in true Trails fashion the story is really ramping up near the end. There’s a sort of ā€œbattle royaleā€ going on in this part of the game and I teamed up with notKiryu Kazuma’s team (many different options here)

I’m quite shocked at something that just happened… The protagonist did something pretty rare in JRPGs, even Yakuza wouldn’t do it, he killed someone. There were other options to choose but I don’t know how much it would affect this scene.. They took complaints of writing in Trails of Cold Steel to heart.

The villain is also fulfilling the role of ā€œguy you can’t wait to beat upā€ very well. No sob story here. Just a cold psychopath.

So far until this chapter (Chapter 5) the story has been quite slow (very normal for Trails) but I’m quickly starting to feel this is better than the entire Trails of Cold Steel saga if they can keep up the surprises that have happened lately.

And something I love deeply about Trails is long term buildups-payoffs which this game just did. They’ve been teasing a certain character since Trails in the Sky 3rd (released in 2007) and had some buildup in the Cold Steel games… Now he appears in person for the first time in this game (released in 2021) as a full party member. Very cool.

Crap sorry guys, couldnt find it again but seeing the discussion in the xbox thread on otherera reminded me of one of the most important part of the article.

Lina Khan talked about the MS-ABK deal with the interviewer, obviously they didnt say anything specific but it was basically talking about MS’s past and when they were challenged by the DOJ in the 90s (righ?). Then she proceded to talk about MS dominance in the OS space and kind of implied the FTC will review the acquisition in the metaverse space (they talked about preventing monopoly situations and that stuff in the future).

She also dismissed any claim of the importance of nationalism in their reviewings, stating that it doesnt matter if an US company is competing againts a, lets say, chinese one. Every case will be focus on the competing/consumer aspect no matter where you came from.

And lastly, she expressed her frustrations about the undrstaffed, undefunded and time the FTC have to ā€œchaseā€ big cases. Lika Khan said something along the lines of ā€œeven if you lose, you winā€ because she considers it is better to do something that nothing where is required…but wil still be limited due to the factors mentioned above.

I found interesting what she said about the Activision acquisition as it seems the FTC will review the deal using past legislations and not focusing in the other aspects some articles said a month ago (I think labor market was a part of it?). She still made some changes to the ā€œnormalā€ procedure of the FTC’s reviews but I think she aknowledges most of what she proposed (and the biggest changes) wont make it in time to get her objectives.

Still. I will try to find that article to prove I’m not making stuff.

For me this is the most important news in the last few years(if it all comes to fruition) but it goes very much under the radar. If Microsoft were to make every game you buy on your Xbox available in the cloud to play for free, it basically lowers the barriers to entry on a game to zero which is a monumental shift in the gaming landscape. For those gamers who don’t want a console or a pc because they may pick up a game once every year or two they could just buy the game and then play it direct off their TV, off their phone or any device. Their games would sync in the cloud and they could move seamlessly from device to device. Yes the experience isn’t as good as native but the console/pc market is constrained by the relatively high price point of the hardware.

If Microsoft could also get their pc store to be something like a steam experience I could see a huge shift in buying patterns. Why buy elsewhere when you get the games you buy available everywhere that a browser works while working natively on PC and Xbox? The added benefit is the only company that could compete in this realm worldwide is Amazon(possibly Google but their cloud infrastructure is still building up while losing money). Sony and Nintendo would have to pay huge fees to get this up and running and Nvidia don’t have the international coverage(though they do have the capability in some countries). Such a smart play for Microsoft, Azure and xbox

If you want to really look at the business case too, Microsoft is smart, they’re making it possible to monitize more of our time when we’re not at home with cloud gaming. People can now game with their console level stuff anywhere and that means they can purchase more stuff while they’re gaming while commuting to work and such. Instead of watching Netflix on your flight or train ride home maybe you can open up Warzone or Fortnite and play a few rounds and might be enticed to buy something. They need as many eyes on the games and for as long as possible for these stores to maximise profits so by having a cloud gaming solution that you can play pretty much anywhere, it will increase profits for 1st and 3rd party developers by quiet a bit I think.

I was looking forward to playing this on my Vita but they cancelled that version. I had bought all of Vanillawares games on Vita up until that point lol.

Since Atlus publishes their games maybe they might convince Vanillaware to release on Xbox if Soul Hackers does well…

Highly recommend if you can find any way to play it. It’s a VN so not what I’d call the normal Vanillaware game. If you have a PS4/5, you can probably play it there. I’ve been playing 50/50 between TV/handheld.

Do you need GPU to use Xcloud? Or to stream Fortnite?

Second thing looks more practical

For Fortnite - not, for XCloud other - yes.

I think it is gonna be close to Apple TV or something. I believe they might have some processing power in their device or something

Fortnite is the first game where you do not need ultimate, and it sounds like Microsoft will be pursuing adding more FTP games.

Wasn’t playing on my Xbox since last February, nothing big interested me on the roadmap for 1st half, luckily found a fun f2p on my phone, I’ve been playing it since that time and yesterday I went back to my receipts and calculate the money… well

I paid over 830 $

= Four years and half XGPU

Be careful of these f2p games, even though I still playing it but noticed I began to control the game and my payment is less now. Of course It’s not a solution .

I’m looking for Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising so I renewed my GP subscription for 1 month, hopes it’s good enough to enjoy it.

bad news for outriders…

During the Halo community night, I mentioned that I would not be surprised if PCF does not work with SE again, as you only hear them being unhappy with it.
