Awesome! You guys are doing great.
GTA is more like a action packed action movie whereas RDR1 and 2 are more like arthouse, if that makes sense. Back when it was Saints Row versus GTA we used to make the comparison that GTA (IV) is more like a Scorsese movie while Saints Row was more like Michael Bay.
I vastly prefer the professional and more realistic written and made characters of RDR2 over GTA V. I never really resonated all that much with Michael, Trevor or Franklin but I already see that Arthur is very interesting.
RDR2 is probably the most polarizing game to get a 95 + Metacritic since GTA4 lol.
People either love it or hate it.
This is the first Iām hearing of this, but I havenāt exactly been paying attention either. Is this something theyāve announced? Time frame?
I would say Iām about halfway through the main story, but havenāt touched it for well over two years. Itās common for me with games with massive time commitments, where I play it A LOT for a while, then something happens (a trip, I get busy with some life thing preventing me from playing, whateverā¦) and I kind of āfall outā of the game a bit. And then it takes a long time (if ever) for me to get back to it.
But Iāve been thinking about getting back in that saddle lately, @Staffyās frequent updates is part of the reason, and if a Series X update is coming down the pike, thatās a perfect time to do it.
edit: Did some Binging (Googling, but with rewards points ) and it appears that there has not been an official announcement. I only found speculation/wishing type of articles, saying that after GTA Vās update it should be RDR2ās turn.
I would not expect Rockstar to upgrade the game for free. See the recent gta v situation.
I dont think thatās true. I think this is an internet bubble looking bigger than it really is. Mainly fueled by our favorite website. Everyone I know personally absolutely loves the game.
The first time someone complained about controls in a Rockstar game I saw online on that site. Never, in the 20 years since they started making these games have I ever heard anyone complain about gameplay before. I mean in GTA its half the fun, the slower movement plus best in class physics make some insane moments in these games.
I personally love that you have to press the trigger twice to shoot and reload for the weapons. I also love the absurd amount of animations they put into this, Itās just super impressive. And the gameplay is perfect for a western.
I donāt know about that, I think thereās a healthy size of people who legitimately donāt like how slow and āclunkyā the game is.
I personally love it because I love the cowboy sim like nature of it but I also acknowledge that itās not for everyone.
Facts!
Truly if GTA 6 is even just a little like this when it comes to game world, detail, atmosphere, everything that is so damn strong in RDR2ā¦then weāll have a winner on our hands.
Friends of mine donāt trust Rockstar at all anymore and already have written off GTA 6, and they kinda ridiculed me when I said to just wait and see. Sure, GTAO being such a crazy succes meant they didnāt have to rush and make something like a Bully 2 or LA Noire 2, but we did get RDR2, let us not forget that. Dan Houser left, but I like to believe plenty of people at the studio have that drive to tell a story, singleplayer story just as much as Dan Houser did. I donāt expecft a expansion at all, but a lengthy, worthy singleplayer story absolutely.
There are crazy amounts of fans of their story modes, those that maybe touch online for a few matches and then never again, or donāt bother at all with them.
Isnāt today the day the 2 year exclusivity on FF7 Remake ends?
Hopes: Next Game Pass drop
Expectations: āsavedā for Summer Event, or worseā¦
Fears: It will not come to Xbox ever
Considering the reports of Playstation wanting to be the āhomeā of FF
Im not expecting it to ever come which is a shame although personally, FF hasnāt been truly great since X/Squaresoft so im not too bothered
It can go either way
Does it even matter at this point?
The new Tony Hawk documentary on HBO Max is very good. The documentary is about the life of Tony Hawk and it touches on the game but doesnāt feature Pro Skater significantly. That said, a lot of the interviews are from people featured in the games. The documentary covers some of the real life locations from the game. The movie also features music from the game. And finally there is good backstory about the creation of tricks that were in the game as well.
Imagine FF7R and P5 coming to game pass in the same drop
They could have waited 2 years at this point.
Still it is crazy how we almost always know when Xbox time exclusive lands on other platforms, while with Playstation we have no idea.
Be happy you got Bugsnax, THE killer app!
Never say never on timed exclusive! Lol. Seriously, I wasnāt counting on Bugsnax but here we are.
