Can someone explain to me whats the point of this acquisition then? This is probably why Microsoft didnt want to do it
Sony tried to get Leyou, which would get them Digital Extremes, so basically Warframe as the live service looter shooter would become first party even if multiplat.
Now, they instead got the looter shooter of the industry and the very originators of the modern live service lol. Much better deal at the end of the day imo.
Hope they can continue to thrive under Sony (maybe even get better at new player experience and content vaulting).

Sony is yet to take a multiplatform studio Iām interested in so I should be thankful, doubt this will last though lol

True but they could just make exclusive deals like they normally do. I donāt care about Bungie so this doesnāt do anything for me personally.
Where Dem organic only peeps. Be on the lookout for these ppl
ironically enough, imagine the Destiny deals under Activision for Playstation at the start of last gen, but even more now under Sony directly.
Iāll be honest, Iām disappointed in this news. I was hoping it actually was EA because unlike most of you, I like Chaos.

Meanwhile, Iām laughing. Xbox got all of Zenimax for 7bn and Sony have panic bought out Bungie and their single IP for 3.5.

They canāt buy EA without putting the whole corp on the line, itās that simple.
Of all the acquisitions Sony could have made, Iām glad it was this one for two reasons:

hope this will drop talk MS will just outbid them for any acquisition, here MS simply is looking for what complete their vision. they decide itās not worth it for the money just like gearbox

Imma be honest as an Xbox fan Iām glad MS didnāt get them and if I were a PS fan I wouldnāt be excited about this news whatsoever
