So

Phil - Leads all of Microsoft Gaming and will have Activision report directly to him.

Matt Booty - Head of XGS.

Uncle Pete - Head of Zenimax.

Mojang

Do I got this right?

They all report to Phil: XGS, Zenimax/Bethesda and Acti-Blizz. Three publishers under Microsoft Gaming.

all of them would report to Phil.

yeah but I think Activision leadership will report directly to Phil.

For sure as CEO he does but I thought he would be the one directly handling Activision like Booty and Pete do.

The others do too. Acti-Blizz will most likely get someone in charge just like Booty for XGS and Hines for Z/B, they will run their respective division and report to Phil.

Maybe Activison and Blizzard gets one each though, no point in keeping those together more than necessary now.

they will choice person to lead Acti when they fix it there

That’s actually a good question, unless Zenimax, XGS and AB will become divisions within Microsoft Gaming, instead of companies.

tbh this open opportunities beyond xbox hardware platform with Zenimax and Activation content.

Yes, I think it remains to be seen what happens once the deal goes through. Might be more changes to the structure within Microsoft Gaming.

Exactly, this was also a big news, but that was overshadowed by AB acquisition, understandably so.

I’m not sure who the head of Zenimax operations is right now. Maybe Robert Altmans son James? He was Director of Publishing Operations before.

Everything was overshadowed by the news. I bet some didn’t even know that this is the case, especially the marketing aspect.

So it seems Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga won’t have online co-op. I was hoping they’d finally for a change actually add that. Guess not, sigh.

Maybe the name will grow on me but Microsoft Gaming sounds about as sexy as an accounting firm in Idaho.

“Less constraints” = " I don’t have to involve myself with the Switch" :joy:

Man really hated the thing and was even preventing games that could absolutely run on it (and needed a Switch version) like Sakura Wars off the platform.

It’s good that he can do his own thing now though. Hopefully his games still come to Xbox. Not sure if this was ever confirmed but apparently Sony was always treating him to high class dinners and shit so he has a lot of loyalty for them.

That is especially weird considering The Complete Saga had online co-op.

I’m checking the Xbox store and it says local co-op 2-2.
