You know what would be cool to be honest? Call of Duty collection that works the same as Master Chief Collection. I do miss the simpler times, let alone the way how it handled back then. Missed those callouts whenever a kill streak is activated.
I, for one, welcome a Gears of War collection. Great games.

Would that mean all games get the 4K/60fps treatment? That be lovely. Gears 3 is 4K but not sure if they made that into 60fps yet.

Something tells me if they do that, then Gears 6 is set for next year. Maybe because how Halo MCC got a similar treatment. But we’ll see. I’ll welcome it. Great fond memories.

But in all seriousness it makes sense to port the old games to PC. Too good of a trilogy to be limited to the xbox console so fine by me I guess.
Doesnt really change how I feel about modern Gears anyway or that it would be a “eh” project considering all of those are playable on xbox already at 60fps.
I know this is probably not remotely true, what if the small UE5 project was the original gears remade and then updated high rez textures for gears 2 and 3. (Yes i know multiple sources already said the smaller project is not gears related)

As expected. They didn’t name their own studio 343/Coalition for nothing. So MFC for 2023 and GoW6 in 2024 at the earliest. Even if their small project isn’t MFC or non-Gears related then expect the setting to be connected to Sera or something. Kinda like Days Gone is set in Syphon Filter’s universe.

IDK, it’s difficult to port UE3 games to UE4, we’ve seen it with ME LE and Gears UE which kept UE3 for this reason, imo remaking them in UE5 would be a huge undertaking, not a side project.

I think it’s a good idea to give Gears the MCC treatment. The IP is pretty much dead on PC, this might help kick start its popularity on that platform.

Yeah i could see that, the first game still visually holds up pretty well to this day. So its just a what if. Personally, I would like to see a Fable collection more

The games don’t need anything major, only a minor face-lifting and pc ports, they are better looking than most 8th gen AA games.
