The reason SFV is exclusive is because Capcom was in a kind of bad position around that time and Sony stepped in and partially funded the game in exchange for permanent console exclusivity. Capcom is no longer in that rut so I think they don’t need to take another Sony deal. If Sony wants to partially fund the game again, they’d probably take it, though I think Sony would just offer the typical timed exclusive deal, which Capcom does not tend to do.

Considering the extremely minor crap they still thought needed censoring in RE4 VR, I don’t even want to imagine how badly Facebook is going to censor a GTA game…

Havent played Witcher 3 but RDR 2 is better than Odyssey or any of the new AC entries.

The world is excellent, yes the character movement feels a bit stiff but apart from that fact they are not even in the same league.

Okay we need a thread to cover all the Asian games coming to Xbox because I had no idea that new DRPG from Experience come out with Undernauts.

I was following that game since it was a Japanese only Xbox One exclusive (Yomi wo Saku Hana) lol. I’d have loved to pick that up but damn it’s full $80 price in Canada. I’m in the middle of Mary Skelter 2 (another DRPG) on my Switch anyway which also includes the first one, so hopefully by the time I’m done with those, Undernauts will have a bit of a discount.

I’m totes maining Superman & Gandalf with a pocket Shaggy :sunglasses:.

Yeah, that’s true. I completely forgot about the Assassin Bureau in Valhalla but that’s probably because I wasn’t enjoying playing the game compared to Origins/Odyssey. I literally zoomed through all the story arcs, did th raids for the materials and the viewpoints so I could fast travel. I loved the Viking aspect but didn’t like the combat/gameplay at all and just too many changes after Origins/Odyssey. You mean Basim…I remember that. Just wasn’t into Valhalla. I have/had way too many negatives and complaints with the game.

That’s also true about Odyssey but if anything, I think the entire Assassin storyline is pretty much dead because it’s always an afterthought and if anything, im hoping Infinite completely reboots/resets the entire franchise because at this point, they’re basically just AC games in name. But with that said, while you do have the hidden blade in Valhalla and not in Odyssey, the stealth is literally broken in Valhalla compared to Odyssey which is great in this regard.

I would love to see Infinite be set with whatever the oldest timeline they can do and each expansion or whatever it ends up being is the next timeline and so forth until the last one is present day which is what should be the finale. I’m not a fan of the animus setup and I don’t like the present day stuff at all. It’s the last reason why I would ever play an AC game.

I do understand your dislike for Odyssey for obvious reasons but maybe im just not playing them for that reason especially since I started with Black Flag as the tropical setting and naval combat made me interested. I love the worlds and whatnot but again, present day stuff isn’t for me and with or without a hidden blade, none of the new AC games will ever match the AC games of old in terms of being a true assassin.

Aside from the non-existent Assassin stuff in Odyssey, it’s still the better game when compared to Valhalla. Visually, looks better. Combat/gameplay is better. Stealth is better. Melee combat is better especially since Valhalla’s hit detection is off and needs some fine tuning which as of the Druids expansion, they still didn’t do. So while it may be the better AC game because it has the assassin stuff, it’s just not the better game in my opinion.

The Witcher 3 is nowhere near a Ubisoft game when it comes to all those icons. What do you mean by run around all over the place? Do you mean after the prologue where you get main story lines in all three major locations? Also, you can fast travel once you discover and in turn unlock a sign post. There were bandit camps and monster dens but compared to a Ubisoft game, it’s like 20%. Also, unlike majority of games in general, there’s no collectibles unless you count the Gwent cards which I don’t because that sucked and I ignored that completely. Story and character wise including side quests, the AC games come up short. The Witcher 3 is an amazing game but like with every game, you have to really be into it and want to play it. If not, it’s never going to be of interest to you.

The combat in TW3 isn’t amazing by any stretch but I think the “forced stance” that Geralt is in when in combat hurts it. However, countering a move against a bandit, chopping off his head and watching it roll down a hill due to the wind blowing I must admit was extremely satisfying. :joy:

Ubisoft missed 2019 and 2021 so I don’t see how it was annualized. It was one year back to back. Personally, I actually prefer annual releases over what they’re planning to do because having just one base game and adding to it for a decade or whatever it is doesn’t sound good to me at all.

All the images look great but that bottom picture looks amazing!!!

Also, November’s Games with Gold must really suck if they haven’t announced them yet.

Tomorrow’s Friday.

Not a great sign for quality.

I remember when this game was about building things and shooting things and also it was a PVE game.

If the difficulty is similar to Stranger of the Sword City, their other game on Xbox One, it’s a hard pass for me. Even on beginner I had my problems with it. It’s way too hard and unforgiving.

Craig? He looks so dad ;(

Meme’s don’t pay the bills.

He got a decent paying job and now puts away a decent portion of his paycheck into a diversified 401k and IRA.
