I love Odyssey. Excellent game. Better than Valhalla in every way which is way more bloated with far less interesting stuff to do in a bigger world. It’s also level gated. There’s zero assassin connections. Story is also worse than Odyssey and mission structure is basically the same shit.
nah I think Witcher 3 and RDR2 as “games” are less fun to play than Odyssey even if everything else about those two run circles around everything Ubisoft have put out in the past decade.
The Witcher 3 was my PS4/XBO game of the generation but I can agree that Odyssey is more fun to play. Quit RDR 2 after the first chapter so I can agree that Odyssey is also more fun to play than RDR 2. lol
It’s not slander I acknowledge the great things that those games do and are celebrated for, but they aren’t actually celebrated for how they play are they
Witcher 3’s combat killed any interest for me to continue past the Bloody Baron quest (I started playing it after coming from Sekiro too which made it worse lmaoo), and RDR2 although is the most immersive and alive feeling open world with some of the best writing in all of gaming, with quiet moments that no one else can pull off, the main gameplay loop left a lot to be desired, along with many bad QoL issues that if solved would make the experience far greater.
Yeah, one day I’ll finish all three of the games in question and have a far more informed and regulated opinion haha, but until then, this is all I felt from the dozens of hours I put into each.
Recently, Jeff Grubb went ham on twitter about how much he hated RDR2 and how he wants that game to not influence anyone else, so on.
