I won’t jump on BF2042 day 1 that’s for sure, I’ll wait to see how it turns out first. I really hope it’s good though, I really want a good BF game.

Yeah, you can pre-install it with the Xbox app and jump in day one (well day 8 after early release) for the 10 hour trial with GPU.

people wanted BF to remain with the classes but to be honest after a couple BF games they do be getting stale so it’s nice to see BF try to experiment with a formula even if some might not like it and if it doesn’t work then we got Portal or the next BF that will stay with the classes.
I cancelled my preorder for BF2042 after the beta, I was so excited for it but hot damn did it not feel good to me. I will check it out later in like 6 months once they patch it all up or might even just wait till it hits Game Pass, I have Halo for my MP fix and I’d honestly like to just stick to one shooter really as I don’t want to be spread thing haha.

I think people are using the Halo Infinite beta who got a year extra, because the game simply wasnt ready at any point last year, as the barometer for what beta’s should be.

ah yeah completely forgot about that, will try that out see how it is. Maybe I’ll pick it up earlier after seeing how I enoy it.
Yeah I saw that and heard all about how it was a old build but just a bit iffy on what they’re saying, of course they’ll say they fixed everything and the beta was X months old. I’ll use the 10 hour trial and if it is indeed fixed then I’ll probably bite.

If i had a nickel for every time a game dev said they fixed the issues they had in the beta, and then the game still launched with issues, id have entirely too many nickels

Especially when you follow it enough to know all the things they added in, and even bugs they fixed not just before the full game launches, but before that damn beta even lauched. Putting that awful beta out was such a bad move
People will take what they see there and it’s pretty much gone gold, in their minds. Because way more often than not they will just take the most surface level look in to somethig and just go with the flow. Especially with a game they probably weren’t getting anyway
