I think there is a lot of interest In Xbox from Japan this generation and that there are a lit of people who want to buy the console. It could sell even more but I think the supply line is very limited and MS want to prioritize other markets.

I just found it funny that it sold the exact same amount of consoles 2 weeks in a row.
Meanwhile, Sony must be keeping all the PS5 stock for the West (Black Friday). PS5 Digital only sold 304 units this week in Japan (worst selling active console this week, meaning it was bested by both Series S and X, by quite a lot, too). PS5 itself only sold 4.6k.
Should tell you that demand is eating all the available Xbox’s. It’s tough out there lol.

Honestly though, I hope Sony opens the drivers for Dualsense on PC so people can mod in the haptics for games that don’t have Dualsense support. I’m playing FH5 and wondering just how dang cool it would be to have the sand, storms, different road conditions all provide unique haptics.

A combo of WRPG heaven + gamepass + Sonic/DOA/FFXIII BC games in a single ‘small’ console surely draw big but not that big number of eyes in Japan.

I know many people will find that cringe but the dude has 120m followers on tiktok and the audience on there are younger so the Series S is perfect for them to play Fortnite and the other F2P games, I can see kids asking their parents to buy a Series S after watching that.
