Whatâs up with the Geoff Keighley hate on XboxEra? Iâve always considered Keighley to be a very cool person and a great person to represent the game awards. Heâs totally our guy, Iâm not convinced heâs a playstation fanboy or whatever. He gives about equal time to both platforms, if anything heâs pretty agnostic on Nintendo and usually shyâs away from talking about their games.

No hate, but you canât really ignore his generally less favorable attitude towards Xbox. Go watch the Series X reveal, dude was like âok that was the new Xboxâ and called it a day.

That is why the Kojima project getting announced at Keighleyâs would be perfect. Maybe not this year, but next year ONL or TGAs is possible.
I found this recently uploaded compilation of Japanese Xbox commercials, including JSRF, Dead or Alive, and Ninja Gaiden. Pretty cool preserved Xbox history here. Some of these are pretty funny like the Halo one in the middle lol.
I donât think he has anything against Xbox, and weâre seeing Xbox are actually leveraging him and his shows more and more because he is big & important and yeah a cool guy too. But Iâm just saying thereâs enough evidence of him just being largely un-hype for Xbox stuff. Which listen, itâs ok if heâs just not into Xbox but just show equal professionalism you know.
If KOJIMA is where his real heart lies, getting KOJIMA on Xbox would be a priceless move; as in do it no matter how much it costs. Geoff and KOJIMA CAN be a needle mover combo for Xboxâs strategy to attract core gamers.
I watched his Xbox Series X gameplay reveal pre-show and he clearly was looking forward to seeing the games and learning more about the console. Itâs rare for him to have overblown reactions to any products really, the only time I can remember him raising his voice really loud for a game or product was for Elden Ring.
As for the Xbox reveals?he showed off the console, perfect dark and has nominated many xbox titles over the past few years. He seems to be in-tuned to whatâs going on around xbox. Iâm not going to call him a PlayStation or Xbox fanboy, heâs just the award show guy and he always seems to run a really solid show.
No idea if it was insider or not, I am an insider though.

Yeah, easier contendors than Elden Ring, Zelda, God of War and Starfield next year.
