I think it MachineGames Indiana Jones guys make sense since it being made by a 1st party studio now it was probably releasing on Playstation too but MS probably secure the Exclusive deal now for Xbox after they bought Bethesda all the paper work and legal stuff probably went through now that my guess.

I watched the Matty preview and he’s extremely hyped for the full game. Watching his video, I signed up for the Network Test. lol.

Seems like BF 2042 reviews will arrive soon

Elden Ring seems to be the most accessible and newbie friendly fromsoft game yet, and has several quality of life features that shall make it very manageable and good for both returning players and new ones.

  • Sprint outside combat doesn’t take stamina

  • fast travel from anywhere on the map to any discovered bonfire,

  • near bonfires, there shall be short trails pointing in the general direction of your next objective if you feel like you’re lost and wanna get back to the golden path,

  • AI summons to distract or chip at enemies health/wither them down,

  • the guard counter mechanic where you can block an attack and counter it with a very powerful blow that can destroy the posture of the enemy and leave them open for a critical hit/visceral attack,

  • if you kill enough enemies, you will be granted back some flasks that were expended,

  • the magic attacks are super varied and powerful and don’t require individual spell purchases and instead just rely on mana as such we’ll be seeing a lot more viable magic builds

  • if you die near a boss area, you will get an option to respawn at a nearby location or the last bonfire, so for those who don’t want to run or gallop all the way back to the location again, can choose the former and save a whole bunch of time. This is great for everyone.

So having watched a lot of the previews, some of the above I am a bit concerned about, particularly the AI summons and some of the spells seem super powerful. Like getting rid of half a boss healthbar by doing absolutely nothing but casting a spell or summoning some AI mob seems rather OP and trivialising. And the bosses themselves seemed super easy to kill in the demos. I’m hoping this is just for the closed beta and the actual game will have it be a little more challenging and take time.

Everything sounds great and im definitely interested after watching a few previews. Question though - Is the dying near a boss area and respawning at a nearby location a one time thing or say if you die 5 times, you can go right back to that area all 5 times?

Also, while looking at Elden Ring on GameStop, I noticed that if you pre-order, you get a Digital Adventure Guide which contains useful information for the player’s adventures in the Lands Between. When I see this, I can definitely see that From Software and Bandai Namco is trying to make the game much more accessible to someone like me who isn’t a fan of souls game because of it’s aggravating and frustrating nature.

I don’t think the spells and summons are overpowering unless you’re highly leveled. You could see by the previews that it seemed like health, stamina and magic were maxed out or very high which makes sense due to it being a preview event. I wouldn’t be worried or concerned about this unless it’s heavily stated in reviews.

Every time as far as I can tell.

Yeah, definitely I feel some of the pressure and controversy their games repeatedly are targeted for has made Bandai and From do a few things that are more accessible. They still won’t give a single button easy mode though lol, but all the changes and new features seem like they’re making it accessible while still preserving a great deal of their identity.

You’re probably right yeah, betas like this surely have the meters greatly increased so that time is instead spent actually playing the game and getting to know its systems than just trying to grind out everything to min-max the stats.

Many songs are missing in the GTA Trilogy. This is a big shame. I wonder what the replacements are.

I mean the remasters are based on 2014 remaster and it already had some music cut.

Never played those.

But it sure is very unfortunate. My all time favourite song ever Billie Jean is missing too. Who can we “thank” for that? The estates of artists or the labels?

OK there’s no better time to bring back Dragon’s Dogma. Hope Capcom is paying attention! I think the Geforce Now leak had Dragon’s Dogma 2 in the list, so that’s at least some good news.

“Beware the harpy’s song, Arisen!” Definitely an underrated game. I usually don’t use magic type classes in games but the magic in DD feels nice to use.

Yep, the magic in this game seems to be from what I hear unanimously some of the best in all of gaming. I’m seeing a lot of things that Elden Ring was inspired by. Maybe the hype and success of Elden Ring will reassure Capcom there’s major interest in games like this and take their time to make the sequel as good as possible and release. If there’s any other developer that’s as good at combat design as Fromsoft, it’s gotta be Capcom. Make it happen!

Estate.

I’m just remembering this game is 2 generations old and has crazy spells like this.

I can’t imagine what the magic would look like in a current gen DD… It would look so ridiculous lol.

legit kinda crazy, like proper Houdini sims for each of these attacks lmao.

Has anybody gotten more information on Co-op in Elden ring? Is it still the same shitty summoning system where you have to do everything twice with annoying limitations and tonnes of faff?
