Hmmm I see. In what aspects are they a step down from Vesperia? I remember back when they announced those Tales games only for PS4 how I was pissed off they were skipping Xbox, since Vesperia was on 360 , but it sounds like I haven’t missed a whole lot.

Doomguy was a costume. Masterchief being a costume would be a bit embarassing.
Its never been the default platform for me. Even though I think PS2 was a GOAT tier console. I still only had it for the last 3 years of its cycle.
PS consoles for me will always be exclusive boxes. I own 9 PS4 physical games and probably a dozen digital ones and they’re all either Ps4 only games or PS4/PC games.
I don’t like the whole “reviewers” only reviewing PS5 versions of games though. Seems to be a trend and bias.
People are locked into their ecosystems more than ever before. People have 10’s to 100’s of digital games locked onto their library.
It’s not surprising at all that people just play on their preferred platform lol.

That makes it even more sad that Xbox One - who started this - stumbled in the exact generation where people literally solidified their choices of the platform. Now with the digital base of the previous gen consoles, for a lot of people the choice is only to go with the same.
He tried to push for more Tales games but it reduced the overall quality. More paid costume DLCs, cut content released as DLC and much weaker plot.
Under his era I would recommend the remakes. Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Hearts are good games. I really like the story of Abyss and the male and female lead.
Then it sounds like Arise is a great return to form, which is promising for the future too. I like how Bandai really seems to actually bother with Xbox again.

The only old game they should port is Ni No Kuni but Level-5 will probably kill someone to block the release.

I love Sora in Smash.
I await the Kingdom Hearts 25th anniversary event.
But I know that Sony is gonna moneyhat the shit out of Kingdom Hearts IV / Next Kingdom Hearts Game so I hurt inside.
It’s alright Prog, YouTube will still have the entire game for you…

PlayStation are absolutely on the pulse… with their marketing. They will lie and tell half truths at the right time to trick the userbase / casual audience into believing they are the superior platform. Whether that’s timed exclusives, stacking 2021 with fake release dates, or ‘believing in generations’. It fuels console wars in their favour and they know it.
Xbox is more on the pulse in pretty much every other category. More transparent communication, regular shows, likeable executives, variety of games, killer services, leading the industry with accessibility, better hardware. The list goes on.
