It was something a hiring post on LinkedIn put out. Neither they nor MS claimed they were AAAA

This is the kind of nonsense I was talking about in the other thread. Isn’t this one of the RDX guys? Stopped listening to that show months ago dumb ass misinformed takes like this is why I don’t listen to most called "gaming Youtubers ". Few of them actually know what they’re talking about. https://twitter.com/JFonzerrelli/status/1441269109849661440?s=20

Disco Elysium Xbox version is rated in Germany.

There should be an official announcement soon. Reminds me of the Fall guy situation. First announced on the Nintendo showcase and, I think, one day later for Xbox.

I stopped paying attention to these platform gaming youtubers long time ago, first I stopped with the PlayStation ones like MBG and the like cuz that was just actually ridiculous, then the Xbox ones like colt, dealer, etc. They all seem to do these things from time to time. Rand is probably the last bastion, and for me, its the podcast with Jez that’s holding it all up. :joy:

I don’t know why everybody is trashing Crystal dynamics based on one dud, including the so called pro Xbox folks. SotTR was Eidos Montreal btw.

Isn’t Bethesda the same with Fallout 76? Literally the same exact trajectory of going from single player blockbusters to live service failure at launch, yet we were readily willing to be be optimistic about them with their future projects.

I’m personally not concerned when it comes to the quality of the game, but I guess if there had to be any, it’d be a general question of what exactly CD will be doing on this game. I don’t want CD to make perfect dark go a certain blockbuster route at the expense of meaty gameplay, which should come first. That’s all.

pls no, personally we’ve seen wayy too much FH5 already for it to be this secretive about NDAs and shit, I’m sure Dealer could literally say “yo I got early access to FH5” and people will be ah that’s cool, good for you . We’ll just watch the same gameplay we’ve been seeing all this time… just on another channel instead? It’d just be super anticlimactic. No one is waiting for Dealer’s embargo to drop, people will be like “we’re already getting tons of gameplay every week from Playground themselves, how will Dealer’s NDA be something so drastically different from what we’ve seen already”. It has to be Halo or something else.

Gaming community is so much divided.

So much negativity for a product which haven’t launched yet

Baseless arguments and concern

Glad I remain true to my path and only love Gamepass

Doesn’t matter who makes what, I just want my Gamepass worth of games and that’s all I care about

Parris didn’t strike me as the one to spread fear, concern etc.

He says he will have more on it, just his thoughts I assume. But man, leave it to people to truly create concern over anything now.

Do we have a Final Fantasy XIV OT? I did a quick search and didnt find one specifically for it, just one for MMO’s, so i was thinking about making one when the Endwalker Expansion drops on November 23rd.

Agreed 100%

The game that has like a weekly video update with new footage, has been shown plenty. Thjs really shouldn’t be part of a NDA.

That’s true, nothing wrong with skepticism, I certainly am for Halo campaign until I see it, solely to avoid being disappointed if I had too high expectations.

And I get that skepticism remains for some, because it hasn’t been fully smooth sailing for XGS all the way, Everwild back to drawing board, Halo, a few years ago Crackdown 3 etc. It’s now up to the new studios and management to show what Xbox is all about.

TI is a new studio, but with people that have plenty of experience. It’s ridiculous that some on Twitter are already talking as if they know exactly what is going on at the studio.

They should canceled Crackdown 3 when the original developer was bought by Epic. But I think they were too scared of the negative reception if you cancel Crackdown 3 and Scalebound at the same time.

Budget was tight and moving the project to another developer was probably less expensive than making a new game.

And then Square Enix will skip Xbox again in order to get that $$$. MS should just buy them and resolve the issue once and for all.

Yeah, right. So when Sony studios are helping each other then does it mean they are in development hell? Or remember when people said that Nixxes had relations with Sony because they helped with Horizon. Guess Horizon was in development hell.

Xbox community is the main enemy of Xbox

Excuse this post for coming off as a bit console war-y but I have to say this for the record. There is an inherent fear of Microsoft in the gaming community, from those on the opposing side to even the so-called xbox journalists. More prominent journalists like McCaffrey and even Jez look questionable for having the outlandish takes that they do.

I call it fear because even if the anti Xbox crowd keep spewing vitriol about the console, they’re devoting space in their head for the console. It would be one thing if they were apathetic about Xbox; that would be concerning because apathy would be a more stinging emotion compared to hate. But since they hate it, they do it because they’re scared of it.

I don’t know why people feel this way. They’re all in now. A lot of people wished MS never entered the gaming industry and the irony is, Xbox’s exit in the space almost came to pass during the X1 generation. Now that they’re entrenched and stronger than ever, a lot of critics I feel have this begrudging acceptance/reluctance that they’re here to stay. The one thing that the anti-MS/Xbox crowd wanted to happen (their exit from the gaming industry) is NOT going to happen now. So, they’re pissed and, as a measure to keep up the facade of being impartial, we get biased coverage and FUD spreading to genuine good news.

Crystal Dynamics is a damn good studio, so much so that the same gaming media cried foul about Rise of the Tomb Raider being exclusive for a time. Compare that to the crickets of the news that FF XVI or even Death loop being timed PS exclusive and not asking for the Xbox release date.

For the gaming journalists who covers gaming professionally, I’d honestly respect them more if they went on record saying that they hate MS/Xbox. If the YouTubers are doing it for clicks, so be it; their livelihood depends on their constant complaining and at least that’s more honest than some people pretending to feel a certain way that they do towards Xbox (fake neutrality). This fake neutrality is the crux of my feelings of disdain for these bad actors. They get crushed by their own hypocrisy and they double down so they can be on the right side of any debate. Admittance would feel more genuine to me than all this crap I saw tonight.

So to sum up what I’m saying; When Xbox gets more prominent in the gaming space (and it is, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise), the people who cover gaming and feel a certain way to a certain trillion dollar company are gonna start hating covering video games. You know, the ONE THING that all of us, regardless of platform, all partake in.

Tom Warren last year, Jez this year.

You have to get Brad Sams along with maybe Miles or Sam.

Calling a very good studio like Crystal Dynamics as Burger King is seriously a bad take. Lots of WTF takes going on from people like Parris etc.

After reading tweets like this - I seriously want CD to get acquired by Xbox. A good studio like CD should not take such shit.

I read it as "we need more people ". If they are making a high quality game and still building the studio, it will take months for them to reach 300+. This looks like a good way to get up to speed.

Doesn’t Jaffe always say, that a lot of studios some times help with completing the game within PS.

CD at Xbox? That would be sooooooooooooo good. They could potentially be their “Sony” studio. With that I obviously mean Sony only making third person cinematic action adventures.

All kidding aside, they made four awesome Tomb Raider games, I quite enjoyed Legend and Underworld myself and Tomb Raider reboot and Rise were fucking sweet! They would be a superb addition to XGS, never say never I guess!

I read it as a very good partnership initially, and did not read as an acquisition. I did not expect such bad taste arguments from Xbox influencers. FFS.

Now, I WANT them to acquire CD ! I am going to pray real hard for that to happen. LOL

Or who knows, employees of CD might hop on over to CD during or after PD development. Slowly but steadily having TI grow.

But one thing though, what does this mean for the new Tomb Raider?

No idea. Some more delay there.

Wasn’t it one of NYT, WP or WSJ who reported that all was not well at Square even earlier over Avengers, the Bloomberg report about them scouting for a buyer, two AAA exclusives with Sony, and this news - there are more than enough hints that they need cash. This might be a good way to recoup some operating costs.

I’m hoping that this cash influx requirements leads to some good studios being offloaded to Xbox - like CD.

Honestly, I’m still triggered and upset - these trash comments for Crystal like “burger king” and “I’m concerned” bullshit has to be called out.

These influencers don’t want crunch, but don’t want help to be taken too. Just superb elegant bullshit.
