Collected enough fallout 1st subscription codes from the perks this month to have until February. Once again begging here that if you don’t plan on indulging in the fine taste of the Appalachian Wasteland to slide the code to your nearest wastelander like me.
It might be my revisionist history, but I feel like it was not until pretty late into the PS4 gen that Sony’s first party really gained that credibility.
It took Horizon, God of War, Spiderman,Ghost of Tsushima, and Last of Us 2 (all GOTY tier games, from effectively every studio) for Sony to real earn what they have now.

I thought the PlayStation event yesterday was a great showcase. I’m looking forward to playing Uncharted 4 in ultrawide on my PC. Superhero games aren’t my thing however I completely understand the hype behind Spiderman and Wolverine. Both heroes have a great fighting style that utilize their gameplay to the max, swinging around as Spiderman can feel exhilarating.
Xbox needs to observe and learn a thing or two because the hype cycle right now on the PlayStation side is at record highs right now, higher than even PlayStation’s e3 2016 showcase.

How many iterations of New york have we had for Spiderman in the past 20 years? lol i don’t think it’s going to get old considering it’s what you do with the city that matters.

As long as the content makes up for it and they change some aspects I dont think anybody will care that its the same setting because its inherently tied to the character.

The timed part hasn’t been announced yet. I’m expecting it to be a year minimum, maybe longer. So that’s probably why he refers to it as a PS5 exclusive especially since Sony is funding and publishing the game. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them announce it as a full exclusive which is why they haven’t announced/confirmed the timed part yet.
This 100%. Once Microsoft releases great games that are critically and gamer acclaimed then they will be able to do the same because the confidence will be there. For a lot of people, that confidence simply isn’t there yet.
Insomniac is fucking awesome…rumors have it that their third studio is working on a Rivet spin off game from Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart so let’s say that happens and by Fall 2024, it along with Spider Man 2 and Wolverine get released. That would be 5 releases in 4 years since PS5 launched while the other Sony studios would have released only 1 game if that. That’s fucking insane!!
2015 started it with Bloodborne but 2016 put it over the top with Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted 4 and to a lesser extent, The Last Guardian. So basically, 2016 is when it started to be all one sided.
A few collectibles is fine but im hoping that Spider Man 2 has side quest story lines with a boss fight at the end. Basically, secondary enemies that aren’t going to be a boss fight in the main story or that get introduced in the main story to open up the side quest story line where you go through 5-8 missions to get to the boss fight and complete that story line. This is what im hoping for. Crimes and collectibles are fine but they need to be decreased considerably.

With Spiderman and Wolverine (maybe more Marvel characters in the future) Sony wants to tell people that Playstation is the Marvel console, that’s very smart move.
I’m loving these fanboys talking about Xbox, let’s hope for the same energy on the Starfield gameplay reveal.
I’m just kinda surprised they even got to lucasfilm side of Disney. We were all led astray by “oh Sony will chase marvel, Xbox will chase lucasfilm”, and got super surprised yesterday, the balls to start the show with that lol, wild. Granted the rest of the show was just alright and equivalent to Xbox July 2020 showcase.
