I think it was after the September showcase in a blogpost. Then if my memory serves me right, Hermen Hulst confirmed it again in an interview this year.
You canât build a community of over 110 million PS4 owners and then just walk away from it, right? I think thatâd be bad news for fans of PS4, and frankly not very good business.
Where it makes sense to develop a title for both PS4 and PS5 â for Horizon Forbidden West, the next God of War, GT7 â weâll continue looking at that.

Also if Sony is giving out free upgrades for PS4 version why is there a 59.99 and a 69.99 version. Smart people will save the $10.

I thought everyone knew GoW was cross-gen. The surprise (I forgot it was crossgen) to me is GT7 being cross-gen. I figured GT7 wasnât going to hit until 2023 anyways, which should allow it to be current-gen only.

No, I meant past those games.I think they meant games past GoW and GT7 will also be cross-gen, possibly depeneding on the game.
Oh. I see what users are saying. I donât see them releasing cross-gen games beyond 2023. And then those in 2023 were games with long development times or delays.
I wouldnât be surprised to see Sony do cross-gen games for the duration of the generation for the big titles (GOWR, GT 7, etc.) while smaller titles end up being current generation only like Demonâs Souls, Returnal, etc.

Also shouldnât Sony just now drop the price of PS5 H:FW to match the PS4 version, since you get the free upgrade to the PS5 version with the PS4 version?
Like at this point youâd only be paying an extra 10 bucks for a case that says âPS5â on it.
Just buy the PS4 version for sixty, get the free PS5 version and save yourself 10 bucks.

They really need to lower the PS5 version to $60 like the PS4 version because keeping it $10 more is exploiting the many consumers that are unaware
