Same here besides Final Fantasy. That one hurts.

Nick on podcast mentioned ā€œthere’s a big AAA third party first person shooter releasing later this year that Xbox is trying to get onto GP day 1.ā€

And all signs pointed to BF6 fitting that description the most.

so you don’t care about Starfield??

Peter exposed to be a hack! that’s why he’s always wanted Starfield to release in March 2022 instead of late 2021.

Hmmm, true that. Another one could be DL2, but that’s not only a shooter. BF6 would be huge as hell.

@Staffy my opinion regarding those games lol

?

yeah I wouldn’t consider DL2 to be a shooter at all. It has a bit of shooting here and there but it’s more first person melee action RPG survival horror whatever, basically everything but a shooter lmaooo. It even has 4 player co-op now, damn. Hyped as hell for it.

Yeah, gotta B BF6 then. Interesting!

And we could also be getting Tales of Arise on GP, also per Nick. He didn’t really say it like BF6 but something along the lines of ā€œwonder on what other platform it will go toā€. GP is, stays and will always be crazy, incredible value.

My interest in Starfield is nowhere near that of many others here. I’m interested in seeing it and due to Game Pass, will play it but if I had to buy it, nope. I’m NOT a Bethesda Game Studios fan. I AM a Arkane, Tango Gameworks, Machine Games and to a lesser extent, Id Software fan.

Me saying March 2022 has nothing to do with wanting it then (except to just be right) and more to do with two things - not being next/close to Halo Infinite and hopefully, it’s current gen only so to see 2022 kick off current gen only is what im hoping for.

yeah I saw his reply to Nibel on twitter, lol interesting, Tales of Arise would be a great get.

Bandai and Xbox been getting cozy lately with Scarlet Nexus marketing and timed demo and all that, the next step is naturally Elden Ring on GP Day 1  :sparkles:

I would also hope for the Peppa Pig game to come day 1 on GP as well but that’s asking too much, gotta temper expectations.

I can’t see SE refusing a larger check from MS than Sony for a Gamepass deal if they’re go to outbid. Which they should IMO.

Okay WTF

I mean, like you said, the game’s old now. Can’t imagine any good reason for these idiots to be so upset. Other than they feel it makes them look bad for all the exclusivity bragging and shit talk they do over Xbox games being on PC

And hey, that’s their own damn fault for being so obnoxious about that stuff to begin with. Keep your traps shut and you won’t catch any shit in it

Just beat Dying Light and if it wasnt for some minor nonsense it would be an easy 10.

Some of these chase sequences are just annoying because Crane feels like he is on sand when it happens, night mode being absolutely non friendly at all points, a QTE EVENT to end the game out of nowhere so I died a couple times since I never expected it, some of the boss battles be annoying and janky.

I can see Phil Spencer try explaining to Satya Nadella how much gta vi will effect when it release on gamepass day One
Actually i think they know how much gta v effect on gamepass ( see what happened in india )
Its system seller and will Increase gamepass numbers
And rockstar doesn’t release its games on pc first year so with good ad for series s + gamepass will sell on 3rd countries very well and for Casual gamers

A some point there will be people who were originally against GamePass due to partisan fanboy nonsense, or some other business about believing in physical media, and both will have that ā€œfor f**k’s sakeā€ moment, when they realise that they’re spending soooo much money buying these same games individually, or that 90% of the physical discs they own will never ever be used again and it is just taking up space.

I had my own issue with streaming services like Netflix, I fought for years pointing out how a Blu Ray has much greater fidelity/throughput than streaming services, how i liked to own Blu Rays etc, but over time spending Ā£10+ per film was starting to really hurt, and storing a collection of films I was not watching was starting to really irritate my wife; first I binned the boxes and kept the discs in huge folders within the sofa footstool, but then it dawned on me that i hadn’t opened that footstool in two years and the streaming services had won. This will happen, it is inevitable.

Of course the finest point about Gamepass is the same as digital game purchases: once you’ve known the luxury of never getting up to change a disc, you just can’t go back. Hauling your 35+ year old carcass out of your sofa dent, going all the way over to the shelf/cupboard, taking down the box for the game in the machine and the box for the new game, leaning down to take the game out, open the box, put it in, open the new box, go back to the shelf… never. Never again.

I got gamepass sub till november and Im getting notifications in the dashboard that its expiring soon. Okay.

Never played Shadow Warrior 2 before and I’m hooked now. Auto HDR is great here and the fps boost is lovely. Visuals could be cleaner and crisper but other than that still a very impressive looking game.

I bought an Xbox One in 2018 as a jaded Nintendo fan. I was exactly the type you were describing. Then I did the math.

Given a deal at the time, the cost of one Xbox One + 3 months Game Pass/Live + a company that cares about Back Compat + RDR2 = Doom, South Park and Wolfenstein 2 on Switch.

It just made so much economical sense.

And now I’m writing for an Xbox publication and reading through court cases and EU/SEC filings for details on new games and acquisitions. Funny how things change.
