lmaoo thanks for this imma save it for future use.
But hey, it was either this, or Crackdown 4, and I’m glad they’re gonna go with this.

@Staffy its just “fake hdr” and a bad implementation. You cant even modify it.
I’d be real mad if Rare Replay goes to fucking Switch before PC.
So the HDR calibration option on Xbox does zero for this? We’re really going to have to wait for actual DV games then. Still interesting that this fake HDR is better than the one Ubi implemented, lol.
Hoping the Dying Light 2 and Far Cry 6 gameplay stuff is true but in regards to Far Cry 6, I would be surprised if Ubisoft releases gameplay Friday with what would be two weeks before Ubisoft Forward showcase.
I’m sticking with February 2022 and March 2022 as their respective dates for my predictions.
Idle Sloth isn’t an insider. He just posts news and rumors.
The HDR calibration in Xbox system settings only saves 3 values: HDR minimum luminance and HDR maximum luminance for the full screen and for 10% of the screen. Games can read these system values and skip their own calibration or just dont use them. So as you can see, the Xbox system calibration doesn’t improve a bad HDR implemenation in a game.
Damn, what could he be referring to?
People in the comments be referring to the rumored FF soulslike but I dont think that came from Reddit
also this is interesting lol
You’re still going with March for Starfield, even after what Jason said, and then with Grubb, Jez, Rand following?
What could xbox show here?
Or Will Geoff consider xbox e3 show a part from " SummerGameFest" ?
From what i understand There will be a one big show like the game awards show but without the awards
Maybe this will be the first show and then publishers will continue to their own shows but it will be under name " summer game fest"
Example: sony will show one or two games in the big show and then they will make their Big event later this year ( July)
Is what I say right?
And jeff Grubb said elden Ring will not be in e3 xbox show and might be in another show so will it be in this show?
He was certain it will not be at xbox showscase but he thinks it will not at e3 at all because it disappears from xbox show.
I’m staying with March 2022 as my prediction because I don’t change it but I am expecting to be wrong. Of course, if they truly give a release date or window at E3, then we’ll know for sure.
I don’t see why Microsoft would show anything on this showcase when they have their own showcase a few days later especially when regardless of what is shown, Keighley will have no interest in it and have any energy when it’s shown. If I was Spencer, im not touching this show.
showing your games in big multi platform show is a way to expand yourself and show yourself
Like the way they show the xbox series x or Hellblade ii or perfect dark in the game awards
If i was Phil Spencer and If Hellblade ii ( just example) is ready to show and if i know the show will have another big games I would show it in this show not the xbox show to attract more people and say xbox has games and ad for gampass for more people
But for now i don’t know if this show is big to expect game like elden Ring or a small/ mid show
By showing it there you reach a huge audience as well as showing your games to Nintendo and SOny fans who might not have taken the time to watch the Xbox showcase, so it’s a chance to reach more customers and maybe attract some to the Xbox ecosystem. I think it’s worth having at least 1 big showcase at the summer game fest.
The only problem is that I don’t see this showcase having anywhere near the amount of viewers that The Game Awards gets. It’s on a Thursday afternoon at 2pm EST/11am PST. Most people will be at work/school so I don’t see it having a large viewership especially when compared to TGA.
Also, Microsoft is having their showcase for E3 which is for Xbox fans. Regardless if Keighley shows Xbox games on it or not ,it’s not really favored towards Xbox so it will be like last year at TGA. Seeing Perfect Dark and others is great but look at Keighley, he didn’t care at all. Same for the pre-show last July.
I just wouldn’t sacrifice showing a game at the Xbox showcase for Keighley’s showcase. I will be watching it but im not expecting much. Mostly AA and Indies is my guess. Maybe a Sony or Nintendo game but even then, that’s 50/50.
I would imagine there is a balance to be struck between having a presence at a big multi-platform show while also not risking Geoff leaking or brushing over something you are counting on to turn heads.
I don’t think the shows themselves are that important anyway, especially since they all come so close together. People find out what was shown even if they don’t watch if they are at all gamer engaged.
I wouldn’t debut Starfield at his show, or show Halo Infinite but I could show off a Wolfenstein III. If you had a Kojima partnership that would be perfect.
Why do game developers insist on not letting us pause during cutscenes?
This could just be xbox showcasing games like the gunk and the ascent. Possibly a bunch of id @ xbox games. Smaller titles need their own spotlight away from things like halo or starfield
I disagree, they need to show that these games matter. Look at how playstation has marketed kena bridge of spirits, its undoubtedly a smaller indy title but its given the attention that it deserves. pushing all the smaller stuff to another, less watched show all you are doing is telling people that these games dont matter as much as the ‘big hitters’
I think if anything from MS shows up here, it’s Psychonauts
