XboxEra Community Hangout |OT3| Setting Low Expectations

Yeah, CDPR should have delayed it to 2022 to be honest but it’s okay. I can wait for the current gen upgrade before playing it.

Yea I played it on series x thank god I got it at launch

I own it but im waiting. I figured that I can play through other games in the mean time. Sometimes, I’ll listen to the music on youtube or a trailer and get hyped to play it but then, im like, I waited 6 months already, let me just wait for the upgrade. lol

Lol

Not a bad thing. Silence can be a good sign, let’s hope so. Definitely still waiting for that XSX patch , and Witcher 3. But at this point I doubt both will see the light of day this year, which is not the end of the world.

I hope they can make their plan work for their future roadmap. I believe they said that the plan was to have a roadmap every year instead of one for years to come and also have projects being developed simultaneously. I hope it works out for them because I want to see them becoming the greatness they used to be when they come with Witcher 4.

Thanks a lot. Finally I can set an uncropped wallpaper. Please post a 4K version if you find one.

For those hoping that Jedi Fallen Order 2 will be at EA in July, Jeff Grubb said expect it in 2022 and he heard that from his sources, didn’t seem like speculation.

Someone asked if we can expect something of Dragon Age and said that after having shown concept art and such for two or three years now he thinks they should be able to show something. Would be really cool, but we’ll see! EA shows often sound promising but boy oh boy are they always big let downs.

That would be a pleasant surprise. I thought that game would be 2023 what with Covid and 3 year development time for a AAA game already being tight.

Oh sorry, I meant as in E3 2022. That’s what I think Jeff meant. Can still release next year though, but the person was asking if we can expect the reveal this July and he said 2022.

Oh ok reveal next year makes sense

Oh lol. That makes a little more sense.

This is my situation too. I fired it up at launch and played a bit but I did notice a fair few bugs and didn’t want to get too into it if there was a chance of losing a bunch of progress. At this point, I’m waiting for next-gen and I’ll see how I feel about starting fresh.

I started the game, let the intro play and once it made it to the title screen, I turned it off. lol

Once they release meaty expansions like for TW3 I’m going right back in. Had a great time in that game!

Same. One of my favorite games released last year. For all its faults I enjoyed it far more than other critically acclaimed games that came out. Such a sad thing that they didn’t allow it to cook longer, maybe drop the last Gen consoles completely! Game could have been really big!

Yeah it could have been a lot better as a current-gen only game releasing this year. But I really enjoyed it, no issues on my Series X either. Some great quests, characters and locations! I even 1000GS it.

I think it very difficult for the Playstation to “beat” the Xbox+Bethesda E3 because, for me, the big star of the show was “Play it Day One With Xbox Game Pass”. even though the State of Play comes with big AAA bangers. when the show ends and people see that everything costs 70$ or more… Idk. the value of Game Pass is way above. many AAA’s arriving on the first day. there is no way to compete with that. :man_shrugging:

well’ see. :slightly_smiling_face:

anyway im expecting a good SoP in July.

hoping to see some stuff about Resident Evil and Pragmata.

Yea pragmata I’m intrigued by

This is something that I find very difficult to communicate to friends who don’t have the subscription. They don’t have an Xbox, so they watch a show and see some interesting games but nothing that would compel them to purchase a console. I watch a show and see a bunch of interesting games I can try at my leisure for no extra cost. It’s terribly exciting.

In the same way, it’s hard to explain what’s exciting to us when Microsoft makes acquisitions. It isn’t about being happy that PS people are excluded out of spite or whatever, it’s about the studio’s back catalogue joining the Game Pass selection permanently. Preaching to the choir here though, I suspect

Exactly, I’m more ecxited about games now because the “should I spend money on this?” is completely taken out of the equation. All these games will be available to me day 1! PS can take their €80 games and shove em in the bargain bin where I’ll pick them up in a few years lol.
