The second Tall Tale of the new SoT expansion bugged out for me mid-way through. Seems to be an issue for a number of people. I was stuck for so long trying to find a way to progress that, surprisingly, other players showed up in this linear instance.
Of course I camped them until they quit, making it feel only a little better that I have to redo this. Weird decision by Rare to allow other players during this story content, too. Easily exploitable and can ruin people’s experiences.
I read the article, the title is a bit weird, but they are actually saying that Microsoft is really well positioned to succeed in their Cloud venture. They also say that for for them to be convinced about Cloud gaming, companies should sell them on the games they would have bought anyway, but that they could play anywhere with their friends, which they say Microsoft is doing.
Anyone here still thinks Darktide is a 2021 title? It was completely skipped during the ID@Xbox reels at E3 (while other missing titles like Scorn were still listed in GP schedule for 2021) and also MS picked Back4Blood for GP, its biggest competitor (and biggest new title of that niche overall), maybe it’s better for the game. Anyway I hope to see it between Gamescom and TGA (last year at TGA we saw the gameplay reveal).
It makes sense for Xbox to do an X0 event. I’m not sure they will, but games they could feature that were absent from E3, set for 2021 still or not, is:
Compulsion tease to open the show
Scorn
Halo Infinite flighting drop (so, the event would probably be no later than August)
CrossfireX
News on hardware like a tease for the Elite 3
The Gunk
Acquisitions
Darktide
Game Pass titles revealed for the month
Chorus
Bright Memory Infinite
Avowed gameplay to close the show
I think they could put on a fun, compelling little show for fans. Game Pass releases and the output of Xbox’s first-party will demand more on screen time than in previous years imo, which means a need for more event shot or small.
Too close to Gamescom, imo an X021 would make sense only at 15/11 (or 11/15 for americans XD), 20 years of Xbox and so on…
Anyway yes, many titles from the may 2020 show are still missing, plus other big profile indies, XGS projects and big guns also. I still don’t think there will be one this year, MS is a very hard company concerning healthcare.
It is funny that whenever something that @Shpeshal_Nick and Grubb leaks/hint/teases doesn’t happen by X date, they’re all called a fraud, but certain PS Insiders can miss by wide margins and everybody still takes them at their word 100%.
