XboxEra Community Hangout |OT2| Cracking down on shitposting

Well all of this games require special adaptation for consoles basically. Considering that the teams who develop the games are not that big, the prioritize the PC first due to games being PC-centric.

I personally did not expect MFSM on consoles at all honesty. Play Anywhere is technically - purchase the game and play where it available no?

I meant their general marketing messaging and tone, not the actual Play Anywhere functionality, aha.

It’s similar to how they say they want gaming to be as accessible as possible and then have an outdated paywall such as Live Gold.

Well, they have that flexible controller or whatever it is. Live Gold is a completely different matter altogether.

oh no

I wondef if MS will be able to achieve the goal of 2 relatively big releases per month. Like they technically do right now with Day 1 delivery. Like Outriders + MLB this month for example.

hmmm i don’t think this is their goal

clearly not every game going to be big game or larger game

i think they need 4-6 AAA games a year and between these games smaller games and 3p gp deals

Yeah, true. Not necessary AAA, but every month two releases might be their goal. Not every game has huge production values.

Just rewatched War of the Worlds from Spielberg and even if it won’t happen, I would love a War of the Worlds game from Xbox, or something inspired.

I just love the setting and this reminds me Resistance: Fall of Man in some ways (bleak and grounded sci-fi setting).

We still haven’t had Bandai Namco Next. It will likely be a E3 thing. I hope we can finally expect a brand new trailer and of course Tales of Arise and more.

I know they’re joking, but I actually kind of made the same comment.

I honestly think we will never see a release schedule so packed. That’s an unrealistic number of games. 4-6 AAA titles per year?! No way.

For me, Xbox only need a couple of the big AAA titles every year. Like 2 or 3 at most, spread out across each year. Then, as you say, in between those titles they can do Game Pass deals & smaller scale stuff like Battletoads & Grounded.

That’s more than enough content to satisfy anyone, unless they don’t have a job, family, friends or any kind of life outside of gaming 24/7/365

Agreed

2-3 XGS launches per year should be fine. If we get more better but right now that should be the minimum.
