Funny enough Netflix has actually done that.
On certain older model streaming devices, when trying to access Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, it will actually play a small message if your OS or device can’t support it.

I guess I was thinking more from a Game Pass perspective than non-Game Pass.

You mention Netflix but the big difference with Game Pass is that it has two different subscription plans: PC, Xbox. You can subscribe to them all with Ultimate, with cloud included, but they are still counted as separate subscriptions. I therefore don’t agree that every XGS needs to release on both because sometimes either platform needs to be catered to slightly differently. I mean these are edge cases we are talking about and the Age of Empire series is the only one that has not, or will not, appear on both platforms as far as I am aware.
Where Xbox needs to improve is ensuring both platforms receive 3rd party games if they are available on both platforms, because that doesn’t make sense to me.
