Xbox One era made me hate demos and betas. I found myself burning myself ouf on a game before the final release.
Personally, I would much rather see Microsoft/Phil Spencer get games to be either fully exclusive to Series X/S and PC like the rumored IO Interactive game or if itâs multi-platform, day one on Game Pass. Timed exclusives do nothing for me on either platform because at the end of the day, theyâre basically a multi-platform game.
Oh damn. I rarely if ever play demos. Games that have a demo are games I usually have no interest in and the games I do have interest in rarely have a demo. lol.
Resident Evil VIII: Village is day one for me this Friday. Definitely hyped for it. My 2021 gaming year started with Outriders and I should have at least one new release every month for the rest of the year on average.
Well this whole IO Interactive, fantasy dragon action RPG thing certainly ruined my dreams for what the teases were hinting at. I was dead set on a shared universe MMO light type, set in the universe of the 1985 cult classic, The Last Dragon
Where players can choose their factions. From Leroy Greeneâs dojo, to the Shogun of Harlemâs gang, or perhaps one of Eddy Arcadianâs thugs. Or even a Sum Dum Goy empoyee, where you can dance to classics like You sock it to me, I sock it to you. But alas, my dreams were dashed
And I was so looking forward to getting that âCatches Bullets With his TEETHâ achievement
Would totally play this lol
For all we know it is shared world though. I mean, it is MP. That is one thing Jez has clearly said. It has more chances of being MMO lite than traditional SP at this point.
Technical limitations is not even on the list of flaws
Skyrim is not a good game. It tries to tick too many boxes and favours quantity over quality. The game lacks focus the story is not very appealing. It is a poor slow walk and talk game. It lacks character. Since I put it down I have not had a single temptation to play it again. At least Oblivion felt charming and genuine.
If Skyrim isnât a good game, I donât know what isâŚ
Very few titles since have offered a âsandboxâ as replayable⌠the Witcher 3 obviously springs to mind.
a game thatâs still in its prototyping stages I wouldnât be too quick to make solidified judgements on what it shall eventually turn out to be.
Skyrim, the legendary, influential, multi-million selling, zeitgeist defining darling of critics & fans alike, which remains hugely popular to this day, a full 10 years after itâs release, is not a good game.
I love the wild hot takes you get on gaming forums
Iâm as guilty of doing it as anyone, so I can only admire.
Thatâs true. Thatâs a little the problem with insiders and leaking stuff that is sooooo early still. There used to be a time where we didnât know a thing and then out of the blue a surprise announcement of a new game.
Skyrim is the goddamned shit, I love that game to death. It has its shortcomings, as any game. But I put disgusting hours into it, as with Fallout 3 too. I loved many of the side quests, the world, the atmosphere, the magic, and even if sword combat is stiff, I still enjoyed it. But that should be a thing of the past with TES VI, combat should feel good and not like weâre hitting a tree with our swords when we slice humans.
Dude imagine how good TES VI is going to beâŚ
Hot takes like that make for shitty discussions, itâs unfortunate that some folks canât refrain from that kind of nonsense.
For the folks that have played both, if I enjoy the combat in Tsushima will I enjoy Nioh? Iâm trying to avoid any slow clunky Souls-like combat.
I think being used to stances and shit in GoT will feel right at home because Nioh has a big focus on the stances as well from what Iâve seen, to a bigger degree than GoT. Also, doesnât seem as slow paced as DS, and it has a variety of weapons and builds that make you go as slow or as fast as you want.
With the budget that they now have with XboxâŚ
I get goosebumps thinking about it, haha. For BGS titles I always have a special place in my gamer heart. Rockstar kinda still too, but especially BGS. When a new game is announced by them I cannot contain my hype, lol.
Thank you sir. Putting the remaster on my list now.
The Elder Scrolls 6 will be one of the biggest game releases of all time. What youâll see from Starfield should just be the beginnings of what to expect from TES in terms of technology and systems.
I disagree that BGS has not grown. We know that over 4x people are working on Starfield as worked on Fallout 4. BGS is now comprised of 3 studios and is also getting help elsewhere to make their games.
