Yep, but those other games are far away, not just XGS. I would have loved it if Xbox came out swinging with a brand new single-player IP published by XGP. But I gotta be patient for that. Good thing there’s Starfield which for sure will scratch that single-player itch.
It’ll be great I’m sure, I like multiplayer games, problem is that it’s difficult to gather friends and time to play shit when you’re an adult.
I just bought sea of thieves on steam and had a blast with it, but there’s not much time for it, nor my friends have much time for it.
I see what you mean. Personally I’m not all that bothered since there’s so many good third-party stuff coming out in the meantime in addition to my large library of games ensuring I will always have something new to play.
I would have spent much more time playing SoT this pandemic if the max group size was over 4. We often had a group of 5.
I know 4 is pretty common though, so its unfortunate.
I love new games, but I’m happy with waiting, gives me time to enjoy other masterpieces from this last gen.
I just bought the game but thought the same, they could add a more complex and powerful ship, needing more people to work around it.
I haven’t been gaming long so I have a lot of catching up to do, and I’m having a blast visiting some of these franchises I’ve missed out on. And I’ve got two new releases in 6 days, Judgment and Nier Replicant.
That’s how I feel.
I have 10 games that I need to finish or play enough to feel that I’m done with it.
This gen is going to be insane for gaming.
10? 10!?
Jfc… I have a backlog of about 200 owned games if I only count the ones I really want to play. In total it’s the double. Add to that Xbox Game Pass which keeps throwing games at me…
Oh don’t worry, that’s what I bought recently, there’s a giant wishlist on steam.
I don’t buy it all at the same time because it hurts my brain having so many game to play at the same time, but not being able to give them proper attention.
Man, I’m not counting wishlists… That would be insane hehe.
Yeah, I just can’t have many new games at the same time, I’d go crazy lol.
Haha, indeed.
As excited and frankly set for quite a while I would be, if we indeed get Halo Infinite, Battlefield 6, and either Wolfenstein 3, Starfield, or both this coming fall. The only thing coming I’m really excited for, before then, is the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. Though there are some games that could sneak in the coming months, to help fill the gap
Some I would really love to see come to the Series X and S before the end of this coming summer…

Diablo II: Resurrected . Confession, never played it the first time. Diablo III was my first foray in to that world and Looters in general. But the stuff I’ve heard about II , over the years, has me very excited for the remaster
-
Insurgency: Sandstrom. Very underrated PC multiplayer shooter. Love watching people play this game. Feels like a slightly more tactical, hardcore version of a COD 4 and MW2
-
The Ascent. I know this one is probably not realistic, but it looks so friggin great. And I have this running fantasy in my head that this will be one of those games they show off at a big E3 type show in the next couple months and then say…“and it’s available to play TODAY…or NEXT WEEK!” or something like that…probably not, but hey

Hell Let Loose: I’m more of a Battlefield guy, when it comes to my large player count, big map, infantry and vehicle combat shooters, than I am a methodical, tactical shooter fan. This one though looks very good. And damnit, consoles need a good one of these, finally. Because Enlisted sure does not seem to be it

Warhammer Darktide 4000. I loved Vermintide 2. This looks to be the FPS gun and grenade version of that. And as you can tell by most of my picks above, that’s my jam. So this one has me very excited. Though I fear a fall release would be a disservice to this game, as it would get lost in the crowd. So a summer release could serve them very well, as long as they can actually accomplish that. Here’s hoping
What games do you guys have on your radar that you hope get released before the fall?
I wonder if MS would like to make their own GTA game
Xbox buying Sega on Wednesday
Huh, now THAT’S a thought
Which studio of theirs would like to see make a GTA type title?

I thought of a cool new shared world multiplayer game.
You start of by customizing your character, over 4 different dad skins, from Californian to Greek.
The missions involve saving children (and the world) from zombies all the way to mythical beings. The shared world part is you get to pick which near-linear path you take.
Your reward for beating the game is an acoustic song at the end.
It’s mostly cinematic and QTEs but there is some real gameplay there too, it’s just super easy so it feels more like a movie with some cinematic button mashing every mow and again.
Not sure but they would love something like that on their platform haha.
