I dont understand how people just disregard console sales or even sales in general because of gamepass existing. If a game drops on gamepass and it sells like garbage and doesnt gather interest its a flop irrelevant of how many millions of game pass subs.
Same with the Series X|S not outselling xbox one. If it doesnt its a catastrophic failure of a console irrelevant of game pass subs and how good it is.

I would imagine it has to do with Jez teasing of the 3rd Party AAA XGP games. We found out last night that most of them are new IP, save for one, which is a spin-off.

Microsoft does not disclose its sales and does not let anyone with access to them disclose. im happy that the PS5, Switch and hardware are selling well. i like the hardware even though Cloud gaming is our future. for sure the Xbox Series is selling well. do not worry about it. 
and when it comes to games⌠everyone knows that Sony is much better prepared with games. on the Xbox a divestment took place a few years ago but now they are back! they just bought Bethesda for 7.5 Bi thats already impressive anyway. the Game Pass surprising everyone, etc. Xbox games are coming. be patient

Console sales are not comparable when Xbox is console+PC+cloud. What would be the point? When you are as diverse platform wise as Xbox it is expected to sell less units than companies solely focused on a single hardware platform. Couple that with supply constraints and Xbox waiting for proper RDNA2 which meant PS5 with old stuff could crank out units sooner and faster.
The other point about the pandemic affecting Xbox devs more than the competition I donât have an explanation for. If that is the excuse, it sure seems Xbox devs are hit much harder than PS indeed.
I would guess that is not the case, and Xbox simply ramped up the first party too late. We are still in âWait forâŚâ -mode unfortunately. Things will also speed up once the silly multiplat-stuff is out of the way for all the studios.

I really thought we were past some of this shit lately, but here comes the negative mind goblins man.
Itâs like, we havenât heard shit from Psychonauts 2 which is a multiplatform cross-gen game, while Sony be out here launching Returnal and R&C with minimal problems mostly.
I appricaite some of the more open communication from Microsoft, but FUCK, just drop a trailer every now and then from Double Fine about the state of the game man. Housemarque and Insomniac do that shit all the time.

Everyone got affected by the pandemic, pretty hard. But I have faith in Xbox, weâve never had so much good news about the platform, and even the media is acknowledging that the Xbox is a better machine all around.
Weâre lacking games ONLY, and these are coming already, waiting is surely not great but itâs better than waiting to know if something will happen or not and we already know it will.
E3 is going to be a blast @ProgStopper , and Iâm sure weâll have a bunch of great news in may too.
