XboxEra Community Hangout |OT14| New News? NEW THREAD

I said it before and I’ll say it again, if you have a friend over or whoever and you want a fun time and have a few laughs…install Mad Streets, it’s on Game Pass.

The fighting moves are absolutely ridiculous and clunky, they walk around as if they are drunk as hell but it’s so damn funny and fun. Me and my nephew played it today.

I already have a legion go, so I’m just waiting for that Xbox full screen experience. I’ll upgrade handhelds when we’re on like the Z3Extreme or Z4 (when itll be a more substantial upgrade over the Z1E).

It’s on sale for launch week. 10% off. So instead of $40, it’s $36. Will definitely be buying this on Friday. On a related note, GamingBolt rated the game an 8.0/10 and really enjoyed the game which is great for me because my ratings/opinions of the same games aligns with them 85% of the time so im even more excited to play the game than I was before. :joy:

Either an update is coming or they saw us as true achievements hunters.

It seems that PS5 version rolled some of steam achieves into single trophies, probably due to Trophy rules on Playstation. On Xbox you can easily launch with up to 100 achievements as long as you keep it under 1000gs.

Paid upgrades on the menu for some platforms.

Hamster Corporation, in cooperation with Bandai Namco, has announced Arcade Archives Aqua Jet for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series , and Switch 2, and Arcade Archives Aqua Jet for PlayStation 4 and Switch. The former will cost $16.99, while the latter will cost $14.99. Users who purchase the PlayStation 4 or Switch versions will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 or Switch 2 versions for $2.99.

Apparently because of some bad reception in China, Wuchang devs are changing up a lot of their game.

Starting in update 1.5, which actually makes the games story worst, while breaking chapter 4. I just hope Lingze can update the game in the future to remove all historical mentions and restore the game back to it’s roots.

Edit: It’s possible I may already gotten the update as the Xbox version is currently 1.7.1. But I don’t remember any of the updated game refrences ever coming up(no letter about Quin for one).

Sounds like a good time.

Combat seems fine to me, and hell, I was able to cope and even enjoy Piranha Bytes combat in games like Gothic, Risen, Elex, so this here should be absolutely fine. Not buying it now though, if anything I’m gonna get Helldivers 2 this month and/or Wukong. But as for the latter, do I want to torture myself?

Ready for Xbox Ally.

Lol wat? It’s a port of a game from 1996. What could the Gen9 enhancements even be?

Seems like more F2P games coming to game pass and Windows. That Ally hype needs to be set.

The first set of games highlighted will probably sell a lot so I’d imagine many would want to be on that list.

I’ll gladly take it for more XPA games. It also might be for Game Pass in general. It seems Xbox is pushing harder with long lasting bonuses for all for the f2p forever games. I mean that’s smart considering you don’t even need Xbox Game Pass core/formerly gold to play those. If they can convince people who only play those free to play games to buy a monthly ultimate sub for perks & playing the game on cloud that’s gotta be a huge boon on the business side.

Anyway, I do just generally like it when it’s easier to swap between platforms. I know a lot of the free to play already have cross progression, but usually that still needs me to make yet another account. Seamless is desirable.

There’s something I just find hilariously wholesome about them typing “the Xbox Game Pass program”. It really does give a dash of “your-vet-grandpappy” :joy:.

Bad reception as in sales or as in pressure from the government or Chinese people in general?

The people it seems, using historical figures from the Ming dinasty brought it some negative attention. Throw in some online discourse with some alledgely fake info, had them being under enough pressure to change things up.

Like certain Ming related bosses no longer die after we defeat them, as the fight was turned into a sparring match.

Oh, that’s touchy. Can’t say I know much about Chinese culture and I’m vaguely aware that their ancient historical leaders were tied to their religion (at least I think so; kinda like Japan). But in general I think it’s important for fiction to be allowed to be fiction. Gosh, I don’t know what a lot of games would become if historical figures weren’t allowed to die. That’d whole genre would probably be botched. That said if this is just from the people, then the Wuchang team probably willingly made changing to try and help with sales. So if that’s their choice then that’s their choice.

Bought Mafia : The old Country.

Now I wait for the warm weather to fuck off so I can enjoy that properly.
