I just remember that today is Microsoft’s earnings. Don’t mind the whole rich is richer thanks to AI, just focus on Xbox.
AYANEO announced its new KONKR sub brand, a more budget-friendly line of gaming handhelds.
— Windows Central Gaming (@WinC_Gaming) July 29, 2025
Honestly, we need more affordable handhelds to choose from. https://t.co/Tl49MV1Ako
I can tell Windowscentral is new to the SBC game… most in the community wouldn’t buy an Ayaneo at this point at gunpoint. Absolutely terrible quality control and overpriced compared to their competitors and I don’t imagine this new sub-brand to be any different.
Also, these are running Android and using Snapdragon chips… hardly an apples to apples comparison to something like an Ally or Deck.
Source: me, an SBC advocate and overall tech nerd… and owner of an Ally X, Retroid Pocket 5, RG556, and RGB30.

“Great number for a 5 year old title.”
“It’s barely over half a year.”
“…what…”
True but I think the reason for the article is mainly to promote handhelds and perhaps to point at the growing fame for it.
The Ayaneo dual screen looks really nice in design at least, I know their products never last, this design though reminded me of the Surface duo phone and in some way makes me hopeful of a new windows phone line birthed from Xbox handhelds.
Average Twitter user: ‘‘doesn’t count, gotta remove those 30 millions Gamepass subs!’’
Which is still a lot. That will be self-owned.
Some games are just so bad that it becomes “good”, well, especially if you watch it, not play it. This shit is hilarious. Utterly ridiculous with zero logic and you can’t help but wonder wtf these devs were thinking.
Normally im a bit pessimistic, but the recent MS’ Xbox numbers are quite impressive, specially GP ones, $5 billion dollars per year is a lot, specially if you take into account some of their games still sell a lot and 2 of the best selling games this year were on GP day 1 (Exp 33 and Oblivion).
And now to the important stuff, just rediscovered Age of Empires 2 and wow, i think i’d put it on the best managed MS franchise nowadays, i like coop games to play with friends and AoE was always a secondary option we could try again, but now that we tried it earlier this week, we’re hooked.
Just saw some news about the saga reaching 65M players and what about what they were working on and it’s impressive, they’re putting new content and civilizations for each game at a great pace, not sure which company or companies are involved (just World’s Edge or?) but kudos to them.
We’re still trying just AoE2 and the huge amount of civs it has now, but might jump into Mithology and AoE4 in the future, this latter one still lacks some important ones, but i did read about the new way the game deals with each civ and it’s technologies and i want to try it now!
If anyone played Age of Empires 3, i did read it was not as good in the past, i guess i should just skip this one or did it make a big comeback?
Question for those that know: How long does it take a brand new game to go on sale and at which percent does it usualy go for and if its worth it at that discount? Cause am currently eyeing another game but would like some opinions before i make a decision.
Couple of rumors/leaks are coming out, one in which from a reliable source. If you don’t want to see it, then skip this post.
Supposedly, Octopath Traveler series will have a new game and will be announced at today’s Direct. This is coming from a very reliable source Billbil-kun, so time will tell today.
Kingdom Come the first game will receive a remastered edition and could be announced at today’s Direct. I don’t know where this news come from, but it could very well happen.
Nintendo Partner Direct has begun.
I got to say, Capcom sure likes to bring a surprise there. Case in point, a new MH Stories.
How nice of Nintendo to educate on which game will be on both Switch or just Switch 2.
Wonder if we’ll get MH Stories 3 too or if it’s skipping Xbox for…reasons.
Unless it’s fully Ninty exclusive.
It’s coming to Xbox. Confirmed
Crap, September is getting packed…
Good news!
Here I thought this game was real-time, but it’s turn based, so it won’t be for me unfortunately.
So far it’s a pretty tame Direct, nothing I am not getting on Xbox or that I haven’t played before. If you are a Switch only gamer though I’m guessing you are quite happy right now.
Also, where are the MS games!!!
Ah, there’s the rumor.
Agreed.
Zero reason still for me to get a S2. It’s probably gonna be a good while before I get one at all.
