The article goes on to say that the 85% drop for Borderlands is “standard for looter-shooter titles.” Feels a little clickbaity to lead with that headline if it’s in fact a normal drop. Otherwise I may be missing what point the article is actually trying to make.

Clickbait is the point - they get to show you an ad and pat themselves on the back for sensationalizing an acceptable target.
