I absolutely adore this game, and everything frogwares has done of late, especially in light of how they’ve done it in the middle of a war! This is super sweet of them to do for free, and I hope it nets them some extra sales! Very, very excited for the sequel!
Very nice! It upgraded the DLC too.
Always fun when games in the backlog gets remastered before you get to them… haha.
Everything is tuned to maximise returns. That’s the system ‘working’. MS are not our friend.
I asked AI and it suggested it’s either:
A company commonly referred to as “USC Cable” (or “U.S. Cable”), where “XD” designates its “XD Series” (sometimes interpreted as “extra durable”).
Or
Extreme Digital based in Hungary.
I couldn’t find the cable though .
Cheers for perusing
I think my other half brought it over from China, to here in Oz and it became her contribution to Australia and / or our marriage. It will live in our hearts and memories for a long time, but may be lost to the future
One thing I always wonder when I see talk about moving manufacturing to the US, does that save any money? Because I remember someone writing an article where they got a comment that if Apple were to do it the IPhone would be about $3.5k.
Then we have the issue that apparently most of the materials in use are from China according to another article I was reading.
MS is a company, not an employment program. 3% is basically negligible.
It’s interesting to see Sony beginning to stop reporting the sell-in units and focus more on monthly active users. Sounds familiar?
MS value lies in its employees. And they fired lots of high value people this round.
Share holder value for the next fiscal quarter over long time thinking is stupid.

Flip flopping marketing name.
“Max” is such a generic, nondescript name. Don’t know why they ever went with that.
Don’t fall for the second bit at all (really wish journalists wouldn’t either… how’s that Foxconn plant that was never built going?), there is no reality where Sony or anyone moves manufacturing here, especially not after the bond market went to shambles through all this economic uncertainty. If anything, this is just a skeevy play by Sony to get tariffs exempted, just like we’ve seen with so many other companies after they buy a dinner with a certain someone.
If they were “high value people,” they wouldn’t have been let go. And one of the most successful companies in the world is probably not as stupid as you think.
Sorry if I see these things too objectively. That’s just how it is. Millions of people get hired and fired every year. But sure, “evil” Microsoft is at it again.
F those people dude! my corporations know what they’re doing, they have lots of moneys! /s
JFC at the corpo boot licking…some people man. lol
Feel like I’ve read many times, in another context, that reporting active users instead of sold units is a sure sign of a dying company that’s about to leave the console business. I’m sure these same people are now very concerned about Sony!!
