Looking at these metrics and I have to believe that Microsoft will be smart enough to have millions of consoles available on shelves for the launch of this game, this game has the potential to easily sell over 50 million copies in a month, the hype is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before and I would bet money that it will be this Xbox’s generation best year, maybe even Xbox’s entire history best year, yeah I do believe this game will even help Xbox sell an unexpected 10 million consoles next year, if Microsoft actually cares to have them on shelves, obviously it will move an even significantly bigger amount of PS5 consoles but if they’re smart, this game can help Xbox sales as well.

This looks like the US rankings, Expedition 33 actually went up from where it was originally, which was 22nd in the US, probably a great result for that type of game on Xbox, FH5 definitely got a boost from the PS5 port’s word of mouth, probably some Xbox gamers who never played it before but saw it getting ported over to PS5 and decided to try it themselves, MCC is definitely intriguing, I think a Halo CE Remake and a port to PS5 would be a good thing for the Halo franchise, just like they’re doing with Gears, going multiplat may bring these franchises back to peak popularity again.

Can’t go wrong with recent LG G or C series depending on your budget. The G5/C5 is 2025 model years so they’re highest tier pricing.

I’m really loving my brand new 65" G4 Oled. Picked it for a great price couple months ago through GreenToe for under $1900 all-in with taxes and delivery.

Notification being broken over at X makes receiving news a lot difficult.

Ninja Saviors would be a good start.

Since Rockstar won’t do a PC version for some time, it might be better if Xbox can make a deal with them for buy to stream. A streaming version certainly could be huge for their cloud platform. Agreed I think with this everywhere strategy games like Halo and Gears could edge closer to COD numbers and popularity. These games have the chance to become platforms of their own like COD and FORTNITE.

It was 20 when I first checked it out, so it’s nice to see that it was a bigger increase in playtime than I thought.

I have a B4, C1, and CX; I can’t recommend LG OLEDs enough, they’re the best all-rounders, and actually provide Dolby Vision (unlike Samsung) and the features promised are all present (unlike Sony).

To add to the conversation, I bought an LG C1 a few years ago and I don’t think I could get any other OLED tv brand after experiencing it. It has everything you could want, including Dolby Vison which in my opinion is much better than standard HDR10. I think the main difference between the C and G models is that the G is a bit brighter.

If I was buying a new tv, I would definitely be getting an LG OLED.

Thanks Daniel, I have always had Sammy’s but I’m really starting to get fed up with their app support so I was thinking of jumping ship anyway!

That’s good to know, in my situation I would likely need the extra brightness. I already have to close the curtains more than I’d like to stop the excessive reflections on my Samsung.

It would be nice to use Dolby Vision for my Series X too.

With their recent actions I’m also scared they won’t even react and let Sony have their cake and eat it too, which is a shame. GTA6 launch should have console sales to attract a maximum amount of users and then if they were smart, strike a deal to add whatever money GTA6 online will have as a perk for GPU members, could really help bump those numbers!

Another thing about LG tvs that makes them the better buy, is that they always do a pixel scrubbing after the TV is turned off to keep the screen from getting burn in images too early.

Most other TV brands, usually only do so if we have been using the TV for 3 hours and up.

I could see an Xcloud version at launch doing well on PC, could definitely get a few million players but actually putting in the effort to get console stock out there and at a good price for the launch of this game would be way better for the Xbox brand both in the short and long term IMO, I say that because a big portion of GTA6 players will eventually want to move on to next gen as well and bring on their online progress to a new system and getting a portion of those people on the Xbox ecosystem would be smart, and yes the Halo and Gears franchises will make comebacks to peak numbers again if the next games are received well, I think there’s a lot of ex 360 players on PS5 who will buy them, the nostalgia will play a role, I actually know a few PS players from work who grew up with the 360 paying Gears and Halo who will play these games once they hit PS5.

Oh I 100% expect Microsoft to somehow sell even less consoles than say, this May, next May, when GTA6 releases, if there is a company that can accomplish such a feat, that should be impossible when we’re talking about the biggest launch of all time coming and basically exclusive to only two console brands at launch and possibly will be exclusive to those consoles for at least 2 years, I can’t think of a better time than when GTA6 releases for Xbox Series to get close to the Xbox One margins by the end of the generation, maybe it sounds impossible but it can definitely happen if Microsoft plays it right but they’ll likely just not care at all and not even try imo.

At these new prices that is a hard sell. I think Xbox would rather use this multiplatform approach to market their games and Game pass which would be of huge benefit Nextgen. I think more people would be willing to bet on Xbox Nextgen after seeing their games and knowing you can get them on the cheap for a subscription. I would think their play from here is to push partner hardware like the Asus Xbox and as many other partners that adopt the Xbox platform. They have said their area of growth is Cloud and PC and have started “Stream your own games”

I like the Summer launch. My 9 year old son gets bored easily so we now have something to entertain him with school ending.

Yeah, as someone who lived out in the middle of nowhere as a kid, Summer releases were always my favorite. Nearest town (like legit town with stores and such) was 15 miles away and we lived out in the middle of a cornfield. During the summer I had nothing to do until football/school started again, so if I wasnt outside (it often was too damn hot even be outside) I played games.

I would have lost my mind if a new console was available during those times.

I hope your son doesn’t go asking for like 5 games. You’ll be $400+ short. In all seriousness (though perhaps to extent), go have fun.
