Hijacking your comment but I think people missed the tiny bit of info on the MP that will get unlockables behind a progression system. They know what they are doing. It will be the MP to get people back before E-day drops. Gears 1 MP is the purest form of Gears MP.
Your customers come for the game which is what sustainability is all about not the box. Also, Xbox is more than just a box itâs a platform and an ecosystem that is way far reaching than a box ever could.
Which publishers or studios are leaving if anything I only see more coming to Xbox. You got Hoyo verse with Genshin and Zenless . Mecha Break went straight to Xbox and is still exclusive, Atlus and many that shunned the Xbox one have all come aboard. There is now rumors of developers from Asia bidding for the development of Blizzard games. Some developers that shunned Xbox like Enotria came back begging and pestering the Xbox community to get Xbox to let them in. The Crimson Desert developers and publishers outright refused a time exclusive deal from Sony and the exclusive deals with Sony hasnât panned out looking at SE and their Final fantasy games fade into obscurity and Stellar blade hasnât lit the sky and might end up coming over anyway.
This everywhere strategy I think benefits the customer and pushes for a more universal approach similar to DVD format where the DVD software can be universal and playable on a any DVD player. I think Xbox is looking to expanding the industry by embracing as many partners as possible to push this idea.
It may look funny now, but Cloud gaming could be a bet that pays off not to mention in a few years TVs could become powerful enough to integrate and play games natively. In my view the only ecosystem growing is Xbox albeit not through consoles but through other ways. Also prefer to know my games follow me and isnât stuck on one box.
