Anyone looking at buying a new Radeon RX 9070 XT tomorrow? I was looking at upgrading my wife’s RX 6700 XT and I remember buying it directly from AMD on launch day but I can’t find any info about the RX 9070 XT also being available on AMD’s website tomorrow and at what time that drop would happen.
They do make money but they could also make more money compiling everything into one single CoD platform or a games hub kind of like what the MCC, Fortnite, and Roblox do. One of the things the MCC does well is you can choose what you want installed without needing to install everything. If you want to play Halo 4 multiplayer but don’t want to install the campaign you don’t need to install all of Halo 4 but only the portion you want to play.
I also don’t see how it would divide the playerbase since Activision can still release a new game each year but it can be added as DLC for $70 than a standalone game.
The problem when it comes to multiplayer is that many of the old CoD games are basically dead or have no player base anymore because most people move on to the next CoD. Thats why making a Call of Duty Collection would give players an incentive to go back and play the older Call of Duty games and keep the multiplayer playerbase alive.
It would make it a lot easier for the support team and CoD developers to keep up to date with a game that’s like MCC collection than trying to fix the CoD games that are 10+ years old.
I’m pretty sure that’s what the CoD launcher is doing across devices, as all the current games can be installed on it and were suppose to be able to choose which one to play or have installed. But every game is still $70 instead of putting 4 to 5 games into a single package.
They have sold about 1000 a week since launch, generally they do better when they have sales. But we know someone up top had the “brilliant” idea to not do them.
Another expansion out of the blue would be quite something.
But I can definitely see a PS5 version announcnemt as well or well, let’s just say I’m ready for that to be announced and honestly being okay with it too.
