And again this rumor.
I hope it’s true, a new console launch is always exciting, regardless if I’m getting it or not.

It likely would be a new Steam machine like they had in the past. SteamOS could streamline how it works, but it’s still a PC running Linux, so there are still some hoops to jump through for certain things.
I think it is true. They are looking to capitalize on what they have with the PC the idea probably isn’t to compete but to try and solidify what they have on PC. The rumor of a Half-life 3 will definitely make such a launch pretty explosive.
But it would be more like a console than PC, kinda like what Xbox apparently is aiming for? I could be very interested in that.
That would be amazing. I’ve no idea what they would do for a HL3 to make it stand out from every other first person game out there, but I’d love it. I haven’t given up hope for a HL3 yet, with rumors that keep coming back lately.

I’ve been looking forward to this…
lol I was about to post this but would you guys support? I sure would. Valve I feel could actually take market share from Sony and I think it would be good for all the younger kids who want a pc but who’s parents can’t spend 2500 on a good rig.
I absolutely would give it a chance. I didn’t really follow the whole steam box thing back then, I was very fine with Xbox already. And still am, but I’d be interested to see what they can bring to the table. If they were to get many games Xbox, which I guess still are several Asian games, it could sway me towards getting one. But I will always be a Xbox fan, that won’t change easily.
So let’s say a next gen Xbox were to launch and a Steam console as well…well…that could be interesting. Especially if Sony ever starts to do day one launches for their big games on Steam. I wouldn’t need a Sony console then.

Creating original games aren’t easy. It’s why Game Pass is among the saving grace. Even so, it’s not guaranteed to survive. It’s a challenging world out there.
Steam on xbox. Xbox on steam.
Didn’t they make Snake Pass? Oh man how badly I want a new one. Loved it.
If that were to mean that we get to play all PS5 games on Xbox next at some point…i wouldn’t need a PS or Steam Xbox.
I’d love for that to become reality.
That’s what Tom Warren has been teasing apparently and Jason Ronald even said they had plans on bringing the best of Xbox OS and PC together during CES.
I’m all in on this. A console-type experience that encompassess Steam and Xbox is a quite ridiculous proposition and I’m there.
That or a new PC, hah.
