Yeah, I didn’t call that out, but very PS light. Of course, just a symptom of their general roadmap problem (or that they have a lot of surprise reveals this year, we’ll see).
I do expect more Nintendo games but ones that will launch with the console.
That rumoured 3D Mario game for Switch 2 launch!
Nintendo literally sits on fully-completed, ready-to-launch titles for up to two years, I have no doubt that they have some surprises and games that are ready for the launch of the new Switch.
There have been rumors as to what the launch games could be, one said it’s a brand new 3D Mario game, another said it was Mario Kart 9. As much as I’d love to finally have a brand new Mario Kart, I think the former is way more likely. MK8 seems to be doing pretty well still.
And depending on when Switch 2 drops Metroid Prime will definitely be a launcher as well, can absolutely see that.
I think the rumored Mario kart will be Mario Kart 99
Maybe it’ll be both lol, or at least both within the first year.
I do think MK is the bigger seller so I wouldn’t be surprised if they prioritized that first.
99?
Battle Royal.
AMD console owners will be surprised how good DLSS is compared to what they get on Xbox and PS5 with FSR.
S2 will be limited by memory bandwidth, however, as John said, being a new tech it will be much better then PS4 pro. However, being limited in other areas for being a portable it will not perform better in third party ports. DLSS however, would make all the differences. Remember, 8th gen consoles did not had these upscaling tech.
Escape Academy leaving Game Pass in a fortnight - it’s a short enough to play before then, a brilliant single player or co-op game that’s great fun with escape room-like puzzles (closest I’ve seen in a game), a funny story / characters and will leave you feeling smart (with hints available if need be!)
Call of Duty as a whole has lost 45% of its player base over a month and DAMNNNNNN
I dropped off after a month for BO6 as it felt that every experience I had felt like it is curated for me by an algorithm and the ping was horrendous
How do you even get that data?
Been covered by some of the popular cod content creaters on YouTube like the exclusive ace. Have a look
I also didn’t go down that route when I mentioned there only being two PS exclusives on the list, but I did notice another little eyebrow raising stat:
With six console exclusive games, people who only game on Xbox actually have more titles in that list coming to their console of choice than PlayStation exclusive gamers.
The Switch also beats PlayStation with four console exclusives.
It felt a little too console warry to point all that out originally, but if we’re having the conversation…
Sounds fairly typical especially since GamePass would bring in more casuals. Not to mention a 45% drop would still mean a quarter to a third of Xbox players every week play COD.
We did get a pretty stacked end of year though and I’m sure stuff like Marvel Rivals being the ‘‘new shiny thing’’ is having an impact on other games.
Considering COD pulled record numbers for BLOPS6 (I think if I remember correctly) it might still be doing as good as previous years in the end. Gamepass users probably switch game at a much faster rate as that’s the whole point of Gamepass so that might have had an impact as well.
